Fun Times!

Hi Everyone,

Well it's Monday again. Back to work for many of us with only the memory of a great weekend!

That's life, I guess. ..anyhow, this week at The Cuttlebug Spot, our challenge is to make a project related to a fair or carnival. As a kid, we would go every summer to the county fair. We soooo loved it. It is a great memory for me, so I knew before I started my project what I wanted it to be like.

I knew I wanted a carnival tent, so I googled tents and found this one. I imported it into
scal and cut it out in 4 colors. Then I ran each piece through the Cuttlebug using 5 different embossing folders. I think that is the largest amount of folders I ever used on one project. Anyway, it came out exactly as I had envisioned.

The ticket sentiment was stamped from the Cloud 9 Design Clear Stamp Set named Simple Thoughts - Laughter.

Don't Forget the Blog Hop Runs Through August 31st

The Stretch N' Bubbles blog hop is still going on, so if you haven't started the hop -- go to SNB and start at the begining. You can win some great digital stamps just for visiting and commenting.

Have a great day!

Marcy

STRETCH N' BUBBLES BLOG HOP

WELCOME TO THE STRETCH N' BUBBLES BLOG HOP

Hi Everyone,

If you've come here fom Pandy's blog, then you are in the right place. If you stumbled upon the hop by accident, please go back tothe SNB blog and begin there. You don't want to miss any of the great projects or the chance to win some great digis!

Alison is in the Christmas spirit and has designed a new super cute line of block images. Be sure to visit each DT member's blogs so you can be eligible for some great prizes.

For my project, I used Squared Penguin. Isn't he just adorable?? I made the acetate box from a tutorial up over at Split Coast Stampers. It's really easy to follow and makes a great treat holder. I cut the little guy out and mounted him a scallop Nestie square. I colored him with copics and then went over his beak and the hearrts with Sakura's Stardust pen for some holiday glitter. I added ribbons, yummy M & M's and done -- an adorable little gift/treat to give anyone.

Be sure to leave a comment here on my blog and on each blog you visit. When you do, you have the chance to win the digi image that the DT member used for her project. On September 1st, I will chose a random winner from all comments on my blog and that winner will receive Squared Penguin. Once you've made your way through the hop, you'll be in the running for the overall blog hop winner. The overall winner will receive the entire block set!

We hope you enjoy all this Christmas cuteness. Be sure to stop by the SNB shop to see more of Alison's wonderful images. Your next stop is Tracy's blog.

Have an awesome day and stop back tomorrow when I'll have a new challenge from The Cuttlebug Spot to share with you.

Thanks so much for stopping by and saying, "Hi." I truly appreciate it!

Hugs,
Marcy

UH OH!

Happy Saturday,

I was so looking forward to today, until I remembered that I have to work! Just for a couple of hours, though. I have to demo the Cricut cart Little Monsters at work. It really has some adorable images. I made a couple of cute projects using the cart and I will take some pics to post next week.

Today we have a new challenge up over at Unscripted Sketches. This is a nice, easy sketch so it should get your creativity going! The image is from Stretch N' Bubbles. Her name is Viola Snoots. She is part of the Forest Friends Collection. I don't know her actual story, but she looks like a meanie! Hee hee. You can find her here in the store along with the other friends that are a bit more loveable.

I colored her with copics and added Glossy Accents to her hat for a nice shine. I also colored the 3 flowers to match. The sentiment is computer generated and I used my first thought when I saw Viola...Uh Oh, you are in trouble now!
Big News
Tomorrow, Sunday, we are having a blog hop at Stretch N' Bubbles. Alison has outdone herself with her new super cute
"Squared" Christmas images.
Please ckeck out the hop where you can win one of the digis on each Design Team Member's blog!
Have a great day!

Marcy

Relatively Red

Happy, Happy Wednesday,
It's the middle of the work week...Yay!! Two more days and it's the weekend!
I made this page for my niece's scrapbook. This is her baby son Ethan, my son Scott and the kids' Great Aunt Ninny (silly name I know) who is 91 years old! All three have the same color hair, which is funny since Aunt Ninny dyes her hair red. Ethan is the only redhead in his immediate family and Scott only has a red beard. Very weird, but funny. It just called for a layout to prove it's all relative!
The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. I used Accent Essentials for the background and Doodletype for the titles.
Have super day everyone!
Hugs,
Marcy

Thank Heaven for Little Girls

Happy Monday Everyone,

I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was just wonderful. We had lots of good family, friends and food...just what we love most.

Today, over at The Cuttlebug Spot, our challenge was to create baby projects. I made this card as a circle. Not something I often do, but I really like how it turned out, so I will probably use it more. I used the large Nestabilities Scallop Circle for the card and the Classic Circles for the layers. I used Swiss Dots embossing folder for the top layer. The flower was made with the Cuttlebug Scallop Flower 2 x 2 die. You've probably seen this done a thousand times already, but I love it and I can always have a great embellishment when I need one -- in any color or paper I want!

The sentiment was computer generated and cut with Label One. I chalked the outside of the label to give it some definition. The swirl is Sizzix Swirl Decorative #4.
Go on over to The Cuttlebug Spot and check out all the great baby cards the DT made this week!

Happy Saturday All,

I am happy the weekend is here! My kids are visiting us from Florida this week. It's been fun having some quality time with them. Today we are having a family & friend party at our house to celebrate their visit. I just love when we have everyone over...so much good fun, good food and good laughs.

Saturday also means there is another great challenge up over at Unscripted Sketches. This beautiful elephant is named Ting and was designed by Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. Ting is another of the great Asian influenced digis in the Zen collection at SNB. You can find Ting here.

I colored Ting with copics. I used a few different Stickles colors -Starry Night, Diamond, Golden Rod and Star Dust. The trim is orange ribbon with hot pink and orange sequins. I found it in my stash. I cannot remember when or why I bought it, but it works so well with this motif.

Well, I have to go start getting ready for my guests. Have a great day and I'll see you Monday with a new Cuttlebug Spot challenge. Thank you so much for stopping by and leavinga comment. I really appreciate it!!

Hugs,

Marcy

Find Peace

Hi Everyone,

Isn't this image darling? It's from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. I am just loving Alison's Zen collection. This beautiful girl is titled "A Blessing" and can be found her here in Alison's store.

I followed this week's sketch #152 at Mojo Monday. I colored her with copics. I used Nesties Labels 10 and Cuttlebug folder Birds & Swirls. The sentiment was cut out with Nesties Fancy Labels. I added some sparkle Stickles for a little glitz.
Have a great day, all!

Marcy

The Cuttlebug Spot

Hi Everyone,

The Cuttlebug Spot is back from vacation. Yay!

This week we are focusing on sypmathy cards. Sympathy cards are one of the hardest to make so we hope to give you some inspiration with our take on these. Please go on over and check out the cards made by the DT. There is a great prize this week too, a $20 gift certificate from Custom Crops!

I used the Cuttlebug "Victoria" folder. Then I cut out the window using my Nesties Classic Squares. The sentiment was computer generated. I made the scallop edge using the old standard, corner punch.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Marcy

OOOPS!!

<

Oh, I've never done this before...

I posted a project before I was supposed to. I actually made this card for today's Unscripted Sketches new challenge, but posted it Monday. Boy, I am getting cuckoo in my old age! If you'd like details on this card, it's in the post below this one.

Here is the sketch. Please go over and check out all the great projects the DT made this week and try this sketch for your next project...it's super!

I made this layout for the new sketch over at Stuck On You Sketches.

I made this for my Niece's album. The paper is just gorgeous and is from Prima. There is loads of stitching on the paper. It was kind of costly at $1.99 for the sheet, but it was so beautiful, I had to have it!

The title was cut with SCAL then I used Polymark Dimensional paint for the dots on the words. I did a lot of inking and distressing over the whole page. The journaling was ready made and purchased at a scrap show.

Here's the sketch

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,

Marcy

Charity

Happy Monday Everyone,

I hope you had a great weekend. We had a break in the weather here for a wee bit in NY. It's great to be able to walk outside and not frizz up in a nano second!

Anywho, this beautiful girl is named Charity and she was designed by the talented Alison over at Stretch N' Bubbles. Charity is one of the new Zen Collection images and you can find her here in the store.

I colored her with copics and added a nice thick coat of Diamond Glaze to her peaches. I also sponged chalk around the image to add some soft color. I cut her out with Nesties Labels 10.

I also entered her into this week's Color Throwdown

Have a wonderful day.
Hugs.

Unscripted Saturday

Hi All,
Happy Saturday. I hope you are having a nice weekend. We are hoping the heat breaks for tomorrow here in NY.
We are back to posting a regular weekly sketch over at Unscripted Sketches. Here is this week's sketch
I made a relatively simple card this week, as I have been sick and so has my computer. Hee Hee
Anyway, we are both on the mend now (well, I am, I had to get a new computer--too sick to fix---had to "pull the plug"). The sentiment is from Fiskars clear stamps. The beautiful flower and leaf are Prima, of course.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Marcy

Father's Day

Hi Everyone,
I know Father's Day was over a month ago, but I just got around to making this layout for my niece's scrapbook. We were visiting in Florida on Father's Day, so we were delighted to be invited to watch our Great Nephew, Shane preform in his school's "Salute to Dads" show.
I used Doodletype to cut the title and Paper Pups for the crowns. I used my new favorite white Gel Pen, Marvy Gel Reminisce, to highlight around the letters.

I get my new computer tomorrow...very excited!!

Hugs,
Marcy
