Sunshine Day

HEY EVERYONE!
Thursday already, guys! This does not only mean we are up for a brand new challenge at DYSU , but on this special day it also means saying goodbye to our lovely DT members Jo and Janna. A special thank you to Janna, our Team Leader, who kept DYSU running smoothly with her amazing organizational skills. Thanks ladies for 6 wonderful months.  Be sure, you will be missed!
Beginning next week, our new DT ladies will be showcasing awesome projects for you, but first things first ... welcome everyone to our current challenge:

DYSU Challenge Blog #26: Squares

This week's Sponsors:

Stretch 'N Bubbles: 4 Single Digi Images

The Stamping Boutique: Winner's Choice of 5 Digis

Stitchy Bear: $10 gift voucher for Stitchy Bear, Floppy Latte and Ginger Loft

I chose this adorable image from the Stamping Boutique named Summer Hybrid.  She just makes me smile.
I colored her with copics and added stickles for some summer sparkle.  The sun is a cut from Cricut's Accent Essentials.  I chalked all around the image and the sun for some added dimension.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to my American friends!
Have a safe and fun filled weekend.

Hugs,
Marcy

Miss You

Hi Everyone,

We've got another new challenge up over at DYSU.

This week's Sponsors:

Coco Dingo Stamps: 4 digital images

Whimsy Stamps: 5 free digital images

I used this wonderful image named, "Couture" by Coco Dingo.  I colored the dress form with copics.
This was not the easiest color combo to follow.  I searched through all my dp (and that's A LOT of  paper) and luckily found this one from DCWV.  It had all the right colors, so I designed my card around it.
I added pearls from Prima, lace from my stash and flowers from Wild Orchid.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I did a load of distressing and inking to give it that shabby look.

Please go over and check out the projects from the DT, you will be inspired.

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day.  We surely enjoyed.

There is a new challenge up at MMSC.  I used one of Priscillastyles' newest images named  Vintage Auto.  Whenever I see one of these old jalopies, I always think of yellow.  I'm not sure why, but I do.
Since it was for a man, I didn't use many embellishments; only some brads in each corner.  To give it a little more texture, I pierced the pattern paper.  I colored the image with copics.

Here are your choices of sketches for this week.

I cut the image out with my Nestabilities die, Labels 10.

Go on over and check out the DT creations

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Marcy

July 4th

Hey Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at DYSU.

 USE A STAR!!

This week’s Sponsors:

Little Musings: Choice of 3 digi stamp kits
JLJ Designs: $10 gift certificate to store
Pixie Dust Studios: Choice of three digis

I used the adorable image, Uncle Sam from Pixie Dust.  Isn't he wonderful?  The Cuttlebug folder, "Stars"
made the beautiful red and white embossed papers.  I used copics to color Sam in.  I added some buttons and Primas from my stash.

I hope you'll go over to DYSU and check out the DT 's "Stellar" projects.

Have a great day,
Marcy

So many things to celebrate: we got some brand new Design Team Members who will start inspiring you from July on, we had so many wonderful applications, so many entries for our last challenge, new followers from all over the world... we really feel like having a party! Which leads us to our current theme (haha, how did you like that intro?!):

DYSU Challenge Blog #23:

Bugaboo: is giving 7 digital images winner´s choice!
Crafty Emma: is giving 10 Pound voucher for their shop (p&p not included!)
Pink Cat Studios: is giving 5 digital images winner´s choice!

I used the Monkey Love image from Pink Cat Studios.  Aren't they just adorable??
I have been trying to use different card engineering lately and this week I made the Center Step card.
Here is the tutorial from SCS.

After coloring these cuties with copics I added Glossy Accents on the bows, hearts and flowers.  I used my natural "go to" raffia ribbon for the bows.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday

Hey Eveyone,

Today for my MMSC submission, I used Priscilla's Sunflower digi image.  I have used this image many times before since I love it and it's so versatile.

The diamond fold card tutorial  is from Splitcoast Stampers here.  I colored the image with copics.

Here are the sketches for the challenge.  As always, feel free to use either one.  Check out the DT's projects here.

Have a wonderful day!

Marcy
