Happy Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone (who celebrates) had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by wonderful family, friends, good food and fun!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!  The only thing I don't like about this holiday is that Black Friday comes right after Thanksgiving and I work retail...so...do the math...YUCK!!

Hopefully, when the dishes are done, the left overs are wrapped and the company has gone home, you will have time to sit and surf the net for some creative dessert.  This week at DYSU  we are making projects that include Grass.

This week's Sponsors:

Dearie Dolls

Winner’s Choice of 4 Digis

Love to Stamp

Winner’s Choice of 1 Little Darlings Rubber Stamp

Stitchy Bear Designs $10 Gift Voucher

I just love this nutty little squirrel.  He is from Doodle Factory.  So is the background.  They have some of the most adorable stamps in the rubber universe!  It's hard to tell, but the squirrel is popped off the card and his acorns and eyes are covered in a thick coating of Glossy Accents.  The sun and clouds are glitzed up with Stickles.

I hope you'll go over to DYSU and check out the awesome projects the team created this week.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and let's all take a moment to be thankful for all that we have, to pray for our troops in harms way and to remember we are lucky enough to live in the country with the most personal freedom.

Be careful out there on Friday!!!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Chester Da Snowman

Hi Everyone,

Today we have a new challenge up at Do You Stack Up?!  This week we want to see a
Splash of Blue on your project!

This week's Sponsors:

Robyn’s Fetish
Winner’s Choice of EITHER
5 Digital Stamps OR 4 Digital
 Stamps and 1 Paper Pack

Raindrop Echo Designs
Winner’s Choice of 4
Digi Sentiment
Sets

Mami Doodles
 4 Digital images

Isn't this snowman just too, too cute?!  I love him!  His name is
Chester Da Snowman and can be found  here at Robyn's Fetish.
I printed him out and colored him with Copics.  I cut him out and glued
him onto a plastic ornament.  I embellished with a pretty blue rhinestone trim
and some glittered berries and leaves.  I filled the ornament with some
Buffalo Snowflakes which are so sparkly.

These ornaments are available everywhere.  My store has them for .99 each.
They are also great for glittering inside!

I hope you will go over to DYSU and check out the DT projects...
They are sure to chase away the blues!!  :)

Hugs,
Marcy

SO PROUD

I know I've been missing for a little while, but sometimes life gets in the way of crafting.
It's been a crazy three weeks here in Marcy Land.
My kids were in from Florida last week to run the NY Marathon.  Aside from being so busy with the preparations/logistics for the run, we always have a whirlwind of activity when they come to visit.  We run around shopping, eating, visiting...you know...fun busy stuff!

Here are my kids, Grant & Briana and some photos during the Marathon.  We were so proud of them. They were so excited,  as they ran their best personal times ever!

Also, as some of you know, I work as the Activity Specialist at an AC Moore (which is just like that other giant craft store chain --which shall remain nameless -- but begins with M).  LOL.   Anyway, part of my job is to decorate the store for seasonal changes.  As you can imagine, the last three weeks have been harried and exhausting preparing for the Holiday season.
The decorating/creating rush is over now and although I've used up so much of my creative juices, I have this weekend to replenish.  Now, I will be able to start to concentrate on my own crafting and creating again.  Yea!  Especially, since the kids want me to make a Marathon scrapbook album for them!

Have a great week and I will see you on Thursday with the latest challenge from DYSU.

Hugs,
Marcy

A+ Teacher

Hi All,

We have a new challenge ready for you over at DYSU.  This week is a fairly easy one...
we want to see some Teal on your project. You can use a little or a lot!

This week's Sponsors:

The Craft’s Meow
Winner’s Choice of 1 Stamp Set

Stretch ‘n Bubbles
Winner’s Choice of 4 Digis
Copic Marker Scrapbooking
6 Copic Ciao Markers (North/South America),
Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

As you know, at DYSU, we mostly use digital stamps  for our challenges.  This week, some of us gals were lucky enough to receive some "physical" stamps from The Craft's Meow. I used several stamps from the Owl See You in Class stamp set.  Aren't they adorable?  You should really go over and check out their stamps.  They represent many wonderful manufacturers of stamps, papers and embellies at great prices!

I hope you will go over to DYSU and check out the DT projects.  You can  win some great prizes, too if you enter a project.

Have a wonderful weekend.

HUGS,
Marcy
