These Colors Don't Run

 Hi Everyone,

Today there is a new challenge up at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC).  I made my easel card using Prisicilla's Top Hat from her 4th of July set. I paper pieced the hat and added loads of glitter and stickles for sparkle.

I must admit, I didn't follow the sketch too closely this week.  I had this card in my mind from the moment I saw the new digi, so I kind of went off the map.

Here are the two sketches you can choose from.

Check out the design team's fabulous cards here.  Then upload yours and you can win some great prizes.

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Marcy

Yellow Mellow

Happy Saturday Everyone,

There is a new challenge up at Copic Creations Challenge Blog.  I don't really enter these challenges because I feel intimidated by all the truly wonderful "coloring artists" out there, but I do love yellow so I decided to try it.  What the worst that can happen?  Right?

Anyway, I used this Tilda image, which I love.  Of course, I colored her with copics.  I added Glossy Accents to her pearl necklace and pendant to give them texture and shine.  The flowers are a combination of Primas, WOC and craft store silks.  The pearl swirls are from Prima.

I did a lot of distressing and inking to give it that shabby look.  I really do like how this one came out.

Have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Marcy

Dollar Digi

SECOND POST TODAY - If you are looking for DYSU challange, please scroll down to next post.

 Hi Everyone,

This image is named "Marcy".  Hee Hee.  Alison, of Stretch N Bubbles, created her and named her after ME.  How sweet is that??
I am really very flattered!

Marcy is the newest dollar digi available this week at SNB

I made this card for my "daughter-in-love," Briana for her birthday.  She is Totally Special!

I colored Marcy with Copics. Then I added Stardust Stickles to the cupcake frosting and her slippers.
The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The pearl sprays are from Prima.

I hope you'll go over and grab this beautiful image while she is still only $1.00!

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a super Mom's Day.  I sure did.  I was surrounded by my family
with good food and laughs.  I can't ask for more than that!

There is a new challenge up at MMSC .  I used this lovely Royal Wedding
inspired crown image by Priscilla.  Isn't it wonderful?  I used the King's Crown for a Father's Day card
for my nephew.  Gregory has always proclaimed himself KING.
I am not sure why, but we always went along with it and now give him
King themed cards and gifts.  He will love this.

I printed the image twice - once in the lavendar
 cardstock and once on white.
I have loads and loads of rhinestones in my stash, so it was
easy to find ones that fit the image.
The crown was colored with copics. I used the Fleurde Lisa embossing
folder from Cuttlebug for the background paper.

Here are the sketches for you to follow.  As always, you can choose plain or fancy. I went with plain because I was creating a masculine card.
Please go over and check out the DT creations.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Marcy

Celebrate

Hi Everyone,

Another week flew by so fast and here we are again, sharing DYSU challenge #18 with you! This week it´s all about purple, the color of dignity, wisdom and balance!

This week´s sponsors:

Copic Marker Scrapbooking: is giving 6 copic ciao marker (North & South America only), Martha Stewart punch (other countries)

Glitterbabe: is giving 2 images of winner’s choice

Stretch N Bubbles: is giving any 4 images of choice to winner and 2 images to each TOP 3!

I used the "Tropical Drink 3" image from Copic Markers Scrapbooking.  I used Copics to color in the drinks.  Then I added stickles to make the fruit sparkle.
Most of the flowers are from Prima except of course for the accordion folded one, which I made.  I do love those!  The purple dots around the Nestie Label die cut were made with Tulip's new Beads in a Bottle.  They were very easy to make; much more so than the old Scribbles bottles.  These "beads" are self-rounding and don't leave those points we used to get.

Please go and checkout what the DT has created for you this week.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy
