Unscripted Sketches Saturday

Hi Everyone,

Boy, something as simple as a cold can beat the tar out of ya. I have been fighting a cold for 4 days now and I feel as if all my energy and lung capacity is gone. Today I will try that cute, little, fat, green mucous guy on the commercial and see if it helps. LOL

So we've got a new sketch up at Unscripted Sketches. This is a very versatile sketch. I made a card, but I can easly see it used for a scrapbook layout.
Here it is:

Here is mine. I used a free digi stamp offered over at The Greeting Farm during their CHA Challenge Relay. WOW that was fun. They gave us one free image. Then we had one day to use the image and post it in their gallery. If you did it on time, you got the next image to use and upload it in time to get the third image. Well, after 3 images the site was so overwhelemed it crashed a few times. So they stopped the relay. I guess they never expected there to be so much activity! Anyway it was fun.

I used copics to color the image. The sentiment is a sticker from Pebbles.inc.

Have a great day and if you are in the Northeast---STAY WARM!!!

Marcy

FREE DIGI WEDNESDAY

Hi Everyone,
It's wednesday so that means there is another free digi stamp over at Stretch "N Bubbles. This one is called Be Mine Turtle. Isn't he just so cute??

I printed mine rather large and then cut it out as a shaped card. I paper pieced his shell and used copics to color the rest of the little guy in. I think he makes a great "Kiddie" Valentine card.

Go on over to Stretch 'N Bubbles and snag this freebie and while you are there check out the other DT gals' wonderful creations.

Greeting Farm Relay Race

The Greeting farm is running a super CHA relay contest. It started with a free digi on Sunday that had to be used in something and posted by 6:00 CST on Monday.
The first image is Mer Ian...so sweet. I used this week's Stuck On You Sketch.

After uploading Ian you will receive the next digi which was Charlotte...so cute. I made this birthday card for a very dear girl I work with. You must upload before 6PM CST in order to receive tomorrow's next image...big fun!!

I also made this one to submit to The Pink Elephant and Mojo Monday. I never entered one card in more than 2 challenges at the same time. Yippee.

I gotta go to sleep, I am pooped!!

Celebrations

Hi All,
I hope you all had a great weekend. Being Monday, I have two new projects to share with you.

Up first, The Cuttlebug Spot has a color challenge for us. The elegant colors of Black & Silver are the order of the day. I chose to make mine an anniversary card for my children's first anniversary coming up in February. Wow, time really flies.

I embossed the sentiment with a folder from a Sizzix wedding set. I used a Martha border punch and the rhinestone bling oval is from Heidi Swapp. The glitter background paper is from DCWV...delicious!

Also up today is a new digi stamp from Alsion at Stretch 'N Bubbles.

Aren't these two just adorable? The image is named Kissy Face. I used copics to color these cuties. I cut out their shells and popped them off the card for dimension. I also used stickles to bling them up a bit. The sentiment is meant specifically for my DH and was computer generated. The hearts are Fiskars Rain Dots. Go take a peek at what my DT sisters have created with this adorable digi.

Have a great day. If you are n the northeast like me...try to stay dry!

Unscripted Sketches Saturday

Hi Everyone,

It's Saturday so that means another great sketch is up at Unscripted Sketches to get your inspiration going.

This is a photo of my son and daughter-in-love with my great nephews; their cousins. Look at little Ethan's legs...don't ya just want to bite 'em!!! They are all so close; it make my heart happy. They all live in Florida and I miss them so much.
The title was cut with SCAL. The embellies were punched from the DP and covered with Glossy Accents to make them look like page pebbles.

Have a wonderful weekend!

FREE DIGI WEDNESDAY

Hi Everyone,

Happy hump day to you all!! I have to make this a quick post today as I am running late for work...

It's Wednesday, so that means it's free digi day over at Stretch N' Bubbles. Alison has a beautiful image for you today. Isn't this vintage dress stand gorgeous? My grandparents were tailors and owned their own cleaning store back in the day, so the image is especially poignant to me. I remember being so excited on the days my family would go visit Mama and Papa at the store. We loved playing in the back and hiding under the that moving belt contraption that rode the clothes high up all around the store. Go on over and snag this beautiful image here.

I printed the image onto pattern paper. Then I colored some areas with copics to add some contrast. The papers are gorgeous flocked designs from Die Cuts With a View. I popped the dress stand off the card for added depth. The sentiment is housed in a slide (remember when these were all the rage?)covered in DP.

Have a great day everyone!

Hugs,
Marcy

Monday Madness

Hi All,

Well, this weekend was a whirlwind. My kids came from Florida for the weekend and its been non-stop here ever since. My daughter-in-love and I gossiped, shopped, made jewelry together and laughed a lot!
We all had lots of family, friends and fun this weekend! They go home this afternoon. We will miss them so much. It is so hard to say goodbye.

Today is Monday, so we have the new weekly challenge up over at The Cuttlebug Spot. This week we are continuing the celebration of the new year, so all the DT gals made something using the #10 (for 2010) somewhere on their project. Go check 'em out you are sure to get inspired.

Here's mine...featuring my two adorable great-nephews. Ethan just turned 1 over the new year. I cut the title and leaves with SCAL. I used the Sizzix embossing folder named Dot & Vine. I am loving the new Sizzix folders; they are bigger and have some nice fresh designs.

Also up today is a new digi stamp image up at Stretch "N Bubbles. Isn't Liberty just adorable with her little frog!! Click here to see what the talented ladies at SNB came up with using Liberty. I colored her with Copics, used some gold stickles and added some tiny rhinestones for some glitz.

I have to go now and get my kids to the airport...Boo Hiss!!

CUPCAKE!!

Hi All,
Isn't this the yummiest cupcake you ever saw? It's a free digi stamp from Alison at Stretch 'N Bubbles. Alison reached the 200 follower mark, and to celebrate she made this adorable digi for everyone.
Go on over and snag it. It's a perfect way to experiment with digital stamps if you haven't dipped your toes in yet. SNAG IT HERE.

I followed the sketch from Mojo Monday for this one. I colored the image with my copics and added pink stickles for some glitz on that delicious frosting. The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with an EK Success paper shaper 2" scalloped circle. I purposely popped it off the card in only the center so the edges will curl downward.Just as I attached the cupcake frosting only in the center so the edges would curl up off the paper..I think it's a nice effect.

Well, that's it for today. I have to get ready for my son and daughter-in-love who are visiting this weekend from Florida...we are very excited to have them home...even if it is for just a short time!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Monsters

Hi All,

Finally, it is getting a little less frigid here in NY. Today, the wind died down some so the real feel temp was in the low 30's...that's warm compared to what we have been feeling. It is going to warm up a little over the weekend until Sunday when it is supposed to snow again!!! OK no more complaining. I know, it could be a lot worse.

On to crafting...
Today is free digi day over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This little guy is named Herman Monster. Isn't he just adorable. Go check out what the talented DT did with him. Go on over and pick Herman up for free. He'll be there for a limited time, so go snag him!

I colored him with copics and used Glossy Accents to shine up his antennas.

Have a great day,
Hugs,
Marcy

OWLS & PARTY FAVORS

Hi Everyone,

Mondays are now doubly exciting for me since two of the design teams I am involved with post on Mondays.
First, The Cuttlebug Spot...this week Nilda asked us to make party favors. I made this bag from a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. You can find it here.
I used a Fiskars border punch for the scallop edge and Sizzix embossing folder for the sentiment. You should really go on over and check out the favors my DT sisters have created. I bookmarked it so that the next time I need to make favors, I will have some great ideas.

Also today, is a new digi image showcased over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This adorable image is called "Owl will always love you." Isn't it just so cute?
I colored her with copics and then covered her with stickles for some nice glitz.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday Alison showcases a new digi stamp. And don't forget Wednesday is always Free Digi Day.

Have a great day.

Hugs,

Marcy

Unscripted Sketches Saturday

Hi All,

Today is the first sketch for 2010 at Unscripted Sketches We are all happy to be working with our sketches again after a 3 week "vacation." We're all excited to share and we've got a great year of wonderful sketches ahead.

I made this card using the free digi from Stretch N' Bubbles again because I just LOVE this adorble kitty! I colored him with copics. I didn't have any matching flowers, so I colored white ones with copics as well.

Also, as promised, it's time to pick a winner for the blog candy. And the winner is...#25 Betty aka ZacksNana.
CONGRATS, BETTY!!! Please email me with your snail address.

Free Digi Wednesday

Hi All,

Well, I'm a little late, but wanted to share the free digi stamp that Alsion offered yesterday at Stretch N' Bubbles.
Aren't the bears just adorable!! Alison is offering these cuties in three versions -- boys and/or girls. I chose the boy, brother bears; they remind me of my sons when they were little.

I colored these little guys with copics and cut them out. It was easy to draw some snow capped mountains to put them in a chilly spot while they play together.
It's hard to see (not a great photo) but the mountains are embossed and stickled. Very pretty in person. The sentiment is computer generated.
Click here if you want to snag these cuties.

Hugs,
Marcy

Back to Reality

Hi All,

Well, the party's over...literally. Back to work after 1 1/2 weeks off. Boo. I loved waking up at 11:00 every morning and crafting until late, late at night. That's my favorite time to scrap and stamp. But, at least I can say I do love my job. I just would rather stay home and get paid...now that's a job! Let me know if anyone knows of any job opening that fits my desires!! LOL!!

OK back to DT business...
Today I have two design team creations.
At The Cuttlebug Spot we are back after a two week rest with some Happy New Year's creations.

I made this card using a free dingbat. Isn't she just hysterical with the lamp shade on her head? The embossed background was done with my favorite Sizzix folder Snowball. I used copics to color her in and added the skittles for added texture. Go on over and see what my DT sisters over at The Cuttlebug Spot made for you this week.

Second is my debut with the new design team at Stretch N" Bubbles. SNB is a digi stamp site created by Alison. She is a super talented gal who designs some wonderful digital images. I love working with digi images; they are so easy to use and can be sized to fit any space you need.

This adorable angel is named Raggedy Flake. I colored her with copics and added stickles to make her wings sparkle. When I glued her down, I left the wings unglued so I could curl them up off the card. The background was cut using SCAL,embossed with Cuttlebug's D'vine Swirl folder then popped off the card. I computer generated the sentiment.

Go check out Stretch N' Bubbles and see all the adorable cards my DT sisters have created with this cutie.
Don't forget, Alison always has Free Digi Wednesdays where you can download the weekly free image and play with it. You will see how easy it is to work with digi images.

I also used this card for a challenge blog I just found named Crazy for Challenges.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We sure did!! We went with friends to dinner at Morton's Steak House. They had this wonderful special. It was sooooooo yummy. The steak was unbelievable...melted in my mouth. The molten chocolate cake was to die for! The Cosmos, super delicious (My DH was the designated driver). It must have been a 10,000 calorie dinner, but worth every one. I don't often eat like that having watched my weight my whole life and finally lost over 50 lbs, but after all...it was new year's. Anyway, needless to say, it was amazing.

Then we went to see "It's Complicated" with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin. It was so funny. Being we are the same age as the characters, we could really relate to the story. We had some good belly laughs especially the part where Meryl goes to the plastic surgeon to ask about her sagging eyelids...oh boy, can I identify with her!!! In all, we had a great night...GREAT friends, GREAT food and GREAT FUN! We got home safely and I knew where my children were...who could ask for more? Not me!!

OK, on to crafting---

I made this card with the free image from Stretch and Bubbles Free Digi Wednesdays. Alison offers the most adorable images on Wednesdays so go on over and snag this sweet cat...love it!!! When you use the above link you'll have to scroll down a bit as today is Friday LOL. While you are scrolling, check out the awesome projects my DT sisters have created with several of Alison's designs.

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow during the Blog Hop with Unscripted Sketches You'll have some great creations and to view along the way and I'll be offering some blog candy, too!

Hugs,
Marcy
