being released by TAWS in April is named Christmas Magic.  Wait till you see all the
wonderful sentiments Alison included in this set...you are going to love them.

Remember, we still have a blog hop going on over at TAWS where you can win one of the new sets.
Here is the original post. So, go check it out...there is still time!

Thanks for stopping by again; I so appreciate it!

One Happy Couple

We have a new challenge for you at  DYSU
We are looking for STITCHING.
You can hand sew, use a machine or faux stitch...it's up to you.

This week we have three sponsors:

$10 Gift Voucher

$15 Gift Certificate

Winner's Choice of 4 Images

How cute are these little monkeys??
LOL! I love them.

I am not a sewer, so I decided to faux stitch on my project.  I pierced around my card and used a very thin marker to draw my "stitch."

This adorable digi couple is named Monkey Love designed by Pink Cat Studio.  The sentiment  is from 2 stamp sets by Alison at TAWS  Jibber Jabber  and  Chatterbox.

I added some Crystal Effects to the hearts for some nice shine.

I hope you go over to DYSU and check out the other wonderful stitching projects my DT sisters have created.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Please come by later for my second post with another peek at TAWS new April release.

Hugs,
Marcy

Cafe Spring

We have a new challenge today at DYSU and it's all about PLAID.

Winner's Choice of 3 Digital Images
Winner's Choice of 4 Digital Images
A "Toodle Club Membership" and a Toodle Birthday Calendar

I must admit, this card took me a very long time to create.  I used this wonderfully intricate digi named
Cafe Spring from Broken Box Stock.  It literally took me days to color it in to my liking.

Plaid being the theme, I had to figure out a way to incorporate the pattern into the card. The awning seemed the best place to use it. So, I printed it onto the plaid paper twice. I glued one down to the card and popped the other with foam tape.  Oh, and I used the plaid for the gals' shirt and slacks, too.

The great flower is a die cut from Paper Trey Ink.
I hope you pop over to DYSU and check out the rest of the DT's projects...I know they will inspire you to create!

Hugs,
Marcy

JELLY BEANS!!!

Hi All,

Jelly beans are my FAVORITE candy.  I don't buy them because I CANNOT stop eating them...no self control!  But this time of year, they are everywhere I go...so I gave in and bought one bag.
They are so sweet and shiny and smooth and yummy...

Anyway, I put them in this great jar I bought at AC Moore for about $1.00.  In fact, I bought a dozen of these great jars for craft storage and for making little gifties.

I stamped the image from The Alley Way Stamps set Chatterbox.  I had this wonderful rainbow ribbon in my stash waiting for just the right project.  Yum!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Isn't he just adorable??

Perfect Together

Hi Again,

I'm here for my second post today with an anniversary card I made for my friend and her fabby hubby.

My sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps Chatterbox collection.  This set has so many great words that can be mixed and matched and...well, really...are Perfect Together! :)

I used Cuttlebug Victorian embossing folder and a SCAL svg for the large flower.  The small rosette is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

BTW, if you love TAWS stamps  you should go on over to Liz Karchner at Dear Lizzy and read all about her giveaway.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hi

Hi All,

It's time for a new challenge at DYSU.  This week we want you to use your FAVORTITE COLOR.   Interpret that however you like!

This week we have three sponsors:

Winner's Choice of 3 Digis

$10 gift certificate

I used this adorable image named Me and My Teddy Bear  available at Little Darlings.  This little guy reminds me of my son when he was 3 or 4.  He had that same haircut!  I used his favorite colors which were orange and turquoise.

I colored him with Copics.  The patch in back is suede and the mesh is from my husbands tool box!
The "hi" is from The Alley Way Stamps set Chatterbox.

I hope you go over to DYSU  and check out the DT's fabulous projects.  Upload a card with your favorite colors and you can win one of the great prizes.

Thanks for stopping by today...I always appreciate it!

Dream in Color

Happy Monday,

We had another beautiful weekend here in NY; a little cool, but so nice!  I cannot remember such a mild winter.  I LOVE IT!!

This card uses one of my favorite techniques -- black & white with just a spot of color.   The wonderful sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps' set named chatterbox.
The flower was cut from the Cricut using a SCAL svg.  The pearls are from Prima.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hugs,
Marcy

Party Favors

Happy Friday!

I made this party favor for a friend's son's birthday party.  It's filled with Runts, which is his favorite candy.
I used 2 of the little goulies from the Monster Mash set from The Alley Way Stamps
The word bubble is from Talk To Me.

The plastic tube is from AC Moore and is sold with the colored sand.  I think they cost $2.00.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Marcy

Hey Cupcake

Happy Tuesday,

I just love this cupcake.  It's from the new set aptly named Hey Cupcake released this month from

I took my inspiration from this fun background paper.  First, I paper-pieced the cupcake.
Using the chevron  from Background Basics, I embossed the pattern in white.
I also heat embossed the heart pattern onto the icing.  Some die-cut swirls, ribbon and pearls
 finish off this fun card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hugs,
Marcy

March Release!

I've got 2 posts for you today.  This one is very exciting as I am soooo psyched to introduce The Alley Way Stamps new March release.  Alison has designed 10 new stamp sets that are

This adorable cupcake is from the new set named Hey Cupcake.  This set has so many great images and sentiments... perfect for any celebration!
I paper-pieced the image then added Diamond Stickles to make the frosting sparkle.  I added loads of gems for some added glitz. For some added dimension, I lifted the cupcake off the card with pop dots.
