4th of July Challenge

Hi All,

I made this for the challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot this week. We could make anything that shows our patriotism.

I cut the card from Wild Card, Liberty from Stand and Cheer and the stars were some really old sizzix dies.

The image is another dingbat from Laurie's Country. I am loving the dingbats, you download them for free and can make them to any size you need. I used MCPT to color the image and stickles to add bling.

SCAL OWL

Hi All,

I fell in love the minute I saw this paper. I knew I had to make it into something...a card or a layout.

I was playing around with it when I thought about how cool it would be if I could make an svg and cut out an owl. So, I took a picture of the paper and imported it into Microsoft Picture It where I cropped it. From there I opened into inkscape and turned it into an svg. I opened it into SCAL and cut out the cutest owl I ever saw.

TPE Challenge

Hi Everyone,
Will it ever stop raining??????
Anyway, now that I got that off my chest. Here is a card I made for a challenge over at The Pink Elephant. The image is actually a dingbat. I used the Magic Colored Pencil Technique for coloring.
Here is the sketch
And here is my design. BTW, did I mention that I WON last weeks layout challenge?@^#!! I am very excited. Especially since it was for the cover of the very special album I am working on of my kids' wedding.

Have a great night.

*******UPDATE********

I got a load of requests about the name of the teddy bear dingbat. It is called Laurie's Country and can be found along with loads of other great dingbats perfect for "faux" stamping at: http://www.dingbatdepot.com/Fonts.php?ID=L

If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment and I will respond.

My Wedding album

Hi All,
I am working on my own album of my kid's wedding. All pages are acrylic and hang from rings attached to the acrylic stand. I've never seen this before it came into the store and I really love it. I know it will take me months to complete because I have so many other projects happening, but I don't mind; I am relishing the process for this album.

I am not sure if I like the ribbons on the rings. Do you think they are a bit too much?? I would really love to hear your opinions.

Of course, I will be getting a formal album made by the photographer once I pick through the 1,300 photos she took! But this one is for my desk with just the photos that I love best!

Over at the Pink Elephant Challenge blog, the challenge this week is to submit anything that has to do with weddings, so I believe this qualifies, LOL. It will be my first challenge over there. There are some extremely talented paper crafters there! http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ You should check them out.
Here are the first couple of photos...more to come!

Father's Day Word Card

I made this word book as a Father's Day card for my dear nephew, Greg. I tried to include all the roles he plays in life. I love this man.

I downloaded the cut file for the word DAD from somewhere, but I can't remember who was kind enough to post it. I would like to give this person the credit, but I am sorry. Thank you. If anyone knows, please let me know so I can post their name.

I really must figure out a way to file my downloads with credits.

Cottage Cutz

Nilda, our leader at The Cuttlebug Spot, sent me this adorable die of the watering can from Cottage Cutz. I made this card with the die. Of course, it works perfectly with the Cuttlebug.

They've got some really great dies on their site, so go check them out at http://www.scrappingcottage.com/

I used The Magic Colored Pencil Technique to color the images which are various Gina K stamps.

SCAL

I was playing around with SCAL last night. I made this card after I cut the strawberry and just loved how cute it was.

The pattern paper is from a lucious stack called Citronella by K&Company. These papers are just beautiful. They are glossy and glittery and simply delicious. Needless to say, I love this stack. I bought it because I will be making pages for my kids' honeymoon to Hawaii, but i can see it is perfect for all summery themes.

Anyway, this card makes me smile.

Happy Anniversary

Hi All,

I made this card for my dear husband. This week we celebrated our anniversay. We went to Yonkers Raceway casino...which I love. We didn't win, but we didn't lose too much either, so that was good. We always have a great time when we go "slotting" together.

Over at The Cuttlebug Spot our challange was to make an anniversary card...so I kind of "killed 2 birds with one stone." I gave my honey the card and then took it right back so I could photograph it and get it uploaded.

The pattern paper is from DCWV La Creme Collection. It is flocked and gorgeous. The embossing was made with the Sizzix folder Scrollmark.

Have a great week.
