Celebrate

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your week. I just got the news that my computer's Mother Board is fried. I don't even know what a Mother Board is...but it can't be good because my DH just told me I have to get a new computer. I can't even get the #&*" thing to turn on anymore!

Thank goodness, my husband bought me an external drive last year, so most of my files are safe. But, I don't have a computer and am using an old, slooooooow, borrowed one for now until DH can choose a new one that is just right for me.

Moving along... I made this card from the adorable image over at Stretch N' Bubbles. It is named Party Tree and can be found here in the store. I used copics to color the image. Then I put a nice thick coating of Diamond Glaze on birdie's eyes and the lanterns - hard to see in the photo, but it really adds depth and looks very nice in person.

I am especially sad that my computer is gone, as I am waiting with my tongue hanging out (some imagery, huh?) for all my favorite sites to report on what's new and happenin' at CHA this week. Boy I wish I was there!!!!!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Imagine

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I hope you are having a great weekend. It's soooo hot here in NY, I hate the thought of leaving my house! I think I will put off my errands for today and do them tomorrow. HeeHee

Saturday always means a new sketch is up over at Unscripted Sketches. It's been very busy over at US lately with our month-long celebration of Christmas in July. If you haven't been over in a while, go on over an take a look, there is something new every single day this month...great recipes, sketches, games, prizes and more.

This adorable image is named Williow. She was designed by Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. Willow is part of a new collection named Forest Friends Collection and can be found here in the store. I colored Willow with copics and cut her out with Nesties Labels 10. The flourish is from Sizzix and the beautiful flowers are from Prima (who else?) The circle of rhinestones around the sentiment is from Heidi Swapp.

Here is the sketch

If you get the chance go check out all the great goings on at US. You will enjoy it!

Have a great weekend and try to stay cool.

Hugs,

Marcy

You Light Up My Day

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I missed Saturday's Unscripted Sketches post. You know, sometimes life just gets in the way of crafting.

Anyway, things are better now, so here it is. Isn't this lightening bug just adorable? His name is Spark and you can find him here in the store at Stretch N' Bubbles.
I colored him with copics and covered his body, nose and antennae with a nice thick coat of Diamond Glaze.

This is the sketch from Unscripted Sketches.

Also up today is the new challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot. This week is also "Christmas in July" which seems to be a pretty popular theme on all the challenge blogs. Please go over and check out all the beautiful creations my DT sisters made this week. Hopefully, it will get you thinking about your holiday crafting earlier rather than later!

I embossed the background paper with the Cuttlebug folder named Snowflakes and then sanded the paper. The image is from Inger Harding. Check out her blog for some super adorable digi stamps--she generously gives away many freebies, too!

That's all for today. Have a great one.

Hugs,
Marcy

Unscripted Sketch Spotlight

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by today for the Unscripted Sketches Spotlight on ME - hee hee. We are continuing with our Christmas in July celebration every day this month.

Although we do not celebrate Christmas, we do share the joys of the season.
My family celebrates Hanukkah. We always get together to eat latkes (potato pancakes) and exchange gifts for the children. Somehow, in our family, when you have a child, you are no longer entitled to Hanukkah presents! Only the kids get the gifts...EIGHT NIGHTS OF GIFTS!!

We always send cards to family and friends. Last year I bought this adorable digi image, Hanukkah Owl from Pink Cat Studio. I loved him when I saw him for the first time. I colored him with copics and added a thick coat of Diamond Glaze on the dreidle for some nice shine.

Also up today is a new challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot. It just so happens this challenge is also a sketch. I used this super cute digi image from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. You can find the Strawberry Cupcake here in the SNB store. I colored the cupcake with copics. I added some Diamond Stickles to make the frosting yummy looking and put a nice thick coat of Diamond Glaze on the strawberry.

Here is the sketch:

Wow, I think this is the longest post I ever made. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you visit Unscripted Sketches and The Cuttlebug Spot I would just love it if you left me a comment.

Hugs,
Marcy

CHRISTMAS IN JULY AT UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES

Hi Everyone,

We've been very busy over at Unscripted Sketches this week again as we continue with the Christmas in July theme. Everyday we have another fun post with recipes, games, techniques and more. We have a new sketch up today, but with a twist...a piggyback color challenge.

I used this adorable snowman digi image from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. Isn't he the cutest snowman ya ever saw? I colored him with copics and used my Nestie Label #10 for the background cut.

It's been so hot here in NY, I am kind of missing the winter...well, maybe not missing, but definitely thinking about the cold, fresh air. Please check out Unscripted Sketches to see the rest of the DT's creations. Also, as part of the month-long celebration, we are spotlighting the design Team gals and my turn is Monday...so please come back and take a look see.

Hugs,
Marcy

Super Cool Dude

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a great July 4th. We had an awesome time at our friend's BBQ. It's always so fun to get together with our "friend's club" pals. We've been friends for over 30 years. Everyone lives far from each other, in different states, but we still manage to get together several times a year. It is always a blast with a lot of roaring laughter, good food and great memories!

This week's challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot is to make something using a
2" x 2" folder or die. For this layout of my adorable nephew, Shane, I used one of the first dies I ever bought. Okay, so it's acutally 3" x 3", but I don't think Nilda will be upset with me. Hee hee. The die is aptly named Funky Squares. I cut the title letters with SCAL.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Marcy

The Water's Fine!

Happy Saturday All,

We're looking forward to a great, long holiday weekend shared with friends. We'll have good food and fun! I hope you have a nice weekend planned, too.

Today, over at Unscripted Sketches, we are continuing with our month-long Christmas in July celebration. Pop over and see what all the excitement is about. We have a new sketch up today and here is my card.

This adorable girlie bird is named Sabrina Bird. She is a digi created by Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. You can find Sabrina here in the SNB store. I colored her with copics. I paper pieced her bikini top and cute tube. I used a nice thick layer of Crystal Effects on the tube to make it shiny. The sentiment was computer generated. I used D'vine Swirls embossing folder for the background circles.

And here is the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th!!
