Rapunzel

Hello all!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.  We had some great times with family and friends.

This week we have a huge celebration in store! Do You Stack Up?! has made it a whole year and we are ready to party! For this challenge, we want to see a Rainbow of Colors! On your project, use at least 3 colors from the Inspiration Photo below.

This week's Sponsors:

Do You Stack Up?! Surprise Package

Stitchy Bear Designs $10 Gift Voucher

Bugaboo Stamps Winner’s Choice of 7 Digis

Dearie Dolls Winner’s Choice of 4 Digis

The Paper Shelter $20 Gift Certificate

Pink Cat Studios Winner’s Choice of 5 Digis

Amber Ink $10 gift certificate

Little Claire Designs Two Clear Stamp Sets
Hope Jacare Winner’s Choice of 3 Images

Wowzers....so many great prizes by fabulous sponsors! You gotta enter this challenge!

I used this adorable image from Pink Cat Studios. I have always loved their images.  Isn't Rapunzel super cute?  I made it into a book mark, since I felt that the shape of the image just screamed out BOOKMARK!!!

I colored her with Copics then added Stickles to the flowers and birds to make it pop.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the silk ribbons are just gorgeous and bright...don't know why, but I just couldn't get the camera to show how bright and beautiful they are.

I surely hope you all have a wonderful, safe New Year!!  See ya in 2012!

Hugs and best wishes,
Marcy

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Hi All,

How cute is this little girl?!  I just love her!

This week's challenge at DYSU is to use stripes.

It's very easy...you can use striped paper, ribbon, etc.
This adorable little girl, Gilly, is a digi from Prairie Fairy Designs, who is one of our sponsors this week.

I colored her with copics then surrounded her with loads and loads of embellies to enhance her girliness (is that even a word?).

I hope you will go over to DYSU and check out the DT projects; they are fantastic!

Thank you all for stopping by and being so supportive with your comments; I so appreciate it.

Have a wonderful, safe and peaceful holiday!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Birthday Kelly

Hi Everyone,

This week's challenge at DYSU was timed perfectly for me.  If you know me, you know that I do all the scrapbooking for my niece, Kelly.  Well, next week is Kelly's birthday.  I always like to make her something special for birthdays and holidays.  Right now, Kelly and family are in Utah for vacation.  I know she will have loads of fantastic photos of her wonderful hubby and three gorgeous boys having a super time in Utah.   So, I made this altered album for Kelly.

This week's challenge at DYSU is to show us your Winter projects!

This week's Sponsors:

Crafty Emma £10 Gift Voucher (exc p&p)

Digi Darla Digital Stamp Club One Month’s Membership
Inky Impressions $10 Gift Certificate

I used a kid's $1.00 board book for make this scrapbook. I cut the book apart and cover each page with paper.  I make a lot of these altered books, so I own a Zutter Bind - It - All, which surely comes in handy for putting these books together.  A good tip to remember is to lightly sand the pages of the board book to remove some of the shiny finish before gluing your DP to them.   Otherwise, the paper will literally peel off after the glue dries.

I made lots of pockets and tags for photos and journaling.  There are loads of sweet embellies like charms, buttons, glitter, wire, stickers, etc. to add interest.

Here are the pages

The back cover has a little fold out tag book for extra pics.

Now all Kelly has to do is add the photos!

I've submitted this to the following challenges:
Cooking it up with Kaite - Anything Goes
Creative Belli Blog - Winter Christmas
The Paper Variety - Anything Goes
Anything Goes Challenge Blog - Anything but a card
Top Tip Tuesday -  Project made for gift

I hope you go on over to DYSU and see all the wonderful wintry projects the team created this week.

Have an awesome weekend!
Hugs,
Marcy

Sweet Ragamuffin

We have a new challenge at  Do You Stack Up?! This week we want to see Something Old! It could truly be something old, or just a vintage style or image.

This week's Sponsors:

Saturated Canary Digis Winner’s Choice of 2 Digis

Gecko Galz Prize Package: Pack of paper of the
winners choice, 4 collage sets of the winners choice, a stamp  set of the winners choice, and vintage pearl button pack, vintage lace, and Gecko Galz fibers

I just love the images from Saturated Canary Digis.  I used A Winter Ragamuffin, but all the digis are just gorgeous!  I hope you go over and check them out.

In keeping with the theme of "something old," I used a lot of distressing on my project.  I sanded all the edges with my Zutter Distrezz-it-all (love that gadget) and also inked the edges.  Of course, I colored the image with Copics.

BREAKING NEWS
If you are interested in becoming a DT Memeber at DYSU we are having a very quick DT call.
Give it a shot!!!  It is a great team to work with!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Hot Cocoa

Happy Thursday!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Today, in New York, it does feel like Christmas is on its way.  The weather today has turned chilly after a week of nearly 70 degrees!  Also, the world's most famous Christmas tree was lit in Rockefeller Center.  Yup, definitely the holiday season!

We have a new challenge up at Do You Stack Up?! This week we have an easy one for you.
We want you to use Ribbon (or anything that ties)!

This week's Sponsors:

Stamp Fairy

Winner’s Choice of 3 Digis

Copic Marker Scrapbooking

6 Copic Ciao Markers (North/South America), Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps

Charlotte with a Rose and Scooter Chloe Rubber Stamps

Don't you just want to boil up some water and enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate?  I know I do!
This adorable snowman is named George (how cute is that?).  He is from Stamp Fairy and can be found here along with many other super cute digis.

This mug is from AC Moore and costs $1.00.  It comes with 3 pages for coloring, but I didn't use them.  I printed George out and colored him with Copics.  I added the red and white ribbon on the bottom of the card stock to match the candy cane I included with the hot chocolate and adorable mini marshmallow packages.

Also, exciting news for me...
my Christmas ornament from 2 weeks ago is this week's
Card of the Week
I was so excited when I got the email asking to post my ornament on their site!
Here is my original post.

Well, that's it for today.  Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you will go on over and see the great projects the DT gals have for you this week at DYSU.

Hugs,
Marcy
