Cherish Your Family

Hi Everyone,

This image is named Mom & Me designed by Alison over at Stretch N Bubbles. Aren't they just beautiful? I love the images in her Zen collection. I colored them with copics, of course, then added some Stickles. The sentiment is from an old set of rubber stamps called Pixie Affirmations by PSX (Personal Stamp Exchange). The flowers and pearl swirls are Prima.

I had a $10 rewards coupon from AC Moore burning a hole in my pocket. I couldn't decide what to spend my money on...tough spot to be in, I know...hee hee. Anyway, I had to spend it because it was expiring today. So, I found this paper stack named Mariposa from DCWV. Each an every page is absolutely gorgeous. It never fails to prove my life's philosophy..."When all else fails...buy paper!"

Have a great day everyone.

Marcy

Yummy Witchy

Happy Saturday Everyone,
Well, we are going back to summer here in New York! We are having some really warm days. I am so looking forward to the Fall that is crisp and requires a sweater. I am tired of sweating!
Anywho...I made this Halloween treat box to put me in the mood for Fall. I followed this week's sketch up at Unscripted Sketches. I love when I can "re-purpose" something and here I was able to do just that! This is a box, by K & Co., that held chipboard letters. I used the letters up over a year ago, but I couldn't throw out the box -- it is so sturdy and has a nice plastic insert in the cover to see what goodies are held inside.
The image is one of the $1.00 clear stamps from Studio G called Soloz. I really like these more than the original $1.00 stamps we have been buying the past few years. These are much larger...more room to color!! Which I did with copics. I gave her eyes and hat a coat of Diamond Glaze and added Stickles to her dress.

I wrapped the bottom of the cover with ribbon; gives it a nice finished look. The swirls are from Sizzix.

Have a super weekend!
Hugs,
Marcy

You've Got a Friend In Me

Good Thursday Morning!

This image is from the fund raiser over at Stretch N' Bubbles. I am happy to report that Alison's Dad had his surgery and is doing well. He still has a long road ahead, but all are grateful he has survived the worst.

I used Sketch Saturday for this card. I really do love how it turned out. I colored these cuties with copics then added Polymark Dimensional Paint in white pearl for the snow flakes. The ribbon and snowflakes were in my stash. The paper, which I love, is called Winter Wishes by Moxie. It is double sided and I love the different color scheme for winter.

Have a super day!!

YIPES!

Hee Hee. This is my nephew, Ethan and he wants a cookie....NOW!! I couldn't help taking his picture during this tantrum; it was so funny. Well, maybe Ethan didn't think so, but we did!

I used Mini Monsters (love that cart!) for the title and the image. I really think that's all this layout needed. It really speaks for itself. Hee Hee, again.

Don't worry, Ethan got his cookie! Have a great day.

Marcy

Fairytale Day

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Well, I made it through Crafting Day at HSN! I did not buy The Imagine, much to my DH's relief. I am hoping that it comes into the store and I will get to demo it. That way I will really see if it is something I will actually use. They did sell almost 10,000 units at$500 a pop. WOW, wish I had a little piece of the action!! Hee Hee

Anyway, back to the real world. This image is named Sally. Isn't she just beautiful? She was designed by Alison over at Stretch N' Bubbles. You can find Sally here in the store. To me, Sally looks like she is thinking if she kisses this frog, maybe she will find her prince...maybe that's just my dream!! Just kidding honey, you have been and always will be, my prince!

I used this week's sketch at Stamptacular Sunday.
Have a super day!

Marcy

Make a Wish

Happy Monday All,

Tonight at midnight, is the long awaited debut on the Cricut Imagine on HSN. I am not sure if I will be able to stay up since I have work tomorrow, but I am sure gonna try!! Hee Hee Either way, I will DVR it so I can check it out after I get home from work.

Up today is a card I made for 5 challenges. I've never made one project for so many challenges before, but I notice that a lot of gals do that. So, I really researched challenge blogs before I made the card.

This adorable digi is a free image is from Making our Mark . The main reason I chose this image is because I am trying a new copic technique called feathering. Which leads us to my first challenge blog...Color Me Classroom Copic Challenge Group. Suzanne gives some great instructions on how to do this technique.

I added stickles to her wings for some glitz. I colored a white flower pink with the same copic color to match her outfit. I left her wings unglued so she would have some dimension.

Other Challenges:

Card Patterns - sketch #81

Paper Sundaes - #35 Use a minimum of 3 embellies

Flutterby Wednesdays - #121 Pink

Charisma Cards Challenge - Try something new

That's all for today! Whew, I am exhausted...hee hee.

Hugs,

Marcy

Cousins

Hi All,

Today there is a new sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. We also have a group of talented new gals added to the design team. Go on over and check out their great creations.

This is my son and great nephew. I took these photos when I was visiting my family in Florida this past June. My niece and nephew have a giant pool table in their dining room (that's for another story)! The guys had such a fun time together I just had to take pictures. It will make for a great memory in years to come!
I cut the title with SCAL. The stickers are Jolee's and were just perfect for this layout. They came into my store (AC Moore) at a sale price of $1.00!!! I grabbed 'em quick along with a bunch of others.
Have a great day! And as always, thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Marcy

Flying by......

Hi Everyone,

Here is another adorable image from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. "Airplane" is a very versatile image and can be used for so many types of occasions: hello, birthday, congrats, etc! I followed the sketch up at Sketch Saturday
I colored the plane with copics . I computer generated the sentiment and cut it out in a cloud shape. You can fin the image here in Alison's store.

Have an awesome day!!

BOO

Hi Everyone,
I know it's Wednesday, but it's Mojo Monday! At least that's the sketch I followed for this Halloween card. Isn't Frankie adorable? He is from Studio G. I bought a bunch of these $1.00 clear stamps.. They are sooooo cute.. I love that they are really big images...gives me more room to color!

I colored Frankie with copics. I added a thick layer of Glossy Accents on his hair and silver stickles on his bolts. I used embroidery floss to attach the tag to the ribbon. I popped Frank off the Nestie-cut circles.

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Marcy

Precious Friend

Hi All,

Happy Labor Day to my American friends. Wow, what beautiful weather we are having here in New York. It's sunny and in the 70's...PERFECT WEATHER!! We are not doing much today, just going to hang around and do some chores and some crafting. I like those days!
I made this card for three challenges. First is for the CMC Challenge Group where Suzanne asks us to make clothing look like blue jeans/denim using three colors of copics. For my Tilda's dress I used B91, B95 & B97. Another copic challenge is for Copic Creations asking for pleats or folds. The third one is for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge asking for Distressing.

I popped Tilda after I distressed all the layers on the card. I made the cute bow with raffia (my go to embellie for Fall). I added a Prima flower and the leaves are from an EK Success punch.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Saturday

>
Hi Everyone,

Well, we were lucky. Hurricane Earl decided to miss us completely!! Yay!! So we wake up this Saturday morning to a beeeeautiful, sunny day.

I made this quick easy gift card for the new challenge at Unscripted Sketches. This is a really easy sketch to work with. It can be used as a card or layout so easily. The image is from Stretch N' Bubbles and is named "Ghost." I wanted to show you how easy it is to use a digi image not only for detailed cards but for fast, run-out-the-door cards. You can find this adorable guy in the SNB store here.

I colored him with copics and popped him onto a punched border strip. The paper is from a new stack from Cloud 9 that I found in JoAnns. I really love this stack. It is a 4.5" x 7.5" pad that has all small holiday prints for Fall, Halloween and Christmas.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Marcy
