Moments

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

It's time for a new challenge up at MMSC

When I saw this new image, Wash Basin and Water Pitcher, I just had to smile.  My Mom had a pitcher and basin just like this one in her bedroom.  It was an antique when I was a kid, so you can imagine how old it was!  It had lots of crazing and cracks all over it.  Mom had a floral arrangement in hers.  When she gave me the set, I tried to take the flowers out and...guess what???  That's right, I broke it.  OHHHH, I was so angry with myself!!

Anyway, when I saw this image, I new exactly what I wanted to do with it.  It's nice when my mind's eye can direct my artistic endeavors...it goes so smoothly.

I colored the image with Copics then I cut it out.  I covered the whole thing with Diamond Glaze and let it dry.  When it was completely dry, I bent it and cracked the finish.  Then I covered the whole image with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.  The ink seeps into the cracks and folds you make in the paper so when you wipe off the excess ink it remains in those cracks.  It's a very simple way to make any image look vintage.

The DP is from DCWV - La Creme.  This is one of my fav stacks.  You can't tell from the pic, but the paper is flocked and just adds to the delicious texture of the whole card.

Please go over and check out the fun new images at Priscillastyles. The sketches and design team projects are always inspiring. Use the sketch and you can win some great prizes!

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy
