The Cuttlebug Spot is Back!!!

Hi Eveyone,

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day. I am excited that we are back to creating at The Cuttlebug Spot. The DT took off for May and I must say, I missed it! But we are back now, so go on over and see what the talented Dt had created for Dads & Grads!

Nilda has also added a new feature...every 2nd Monday we will have a sketch challenge. Those are always so fun!

The pattern paper is DCWV. You can't really see in in the pic, but there are pretty glitter lines running through the design. I embossed with Sizzix Argyle embossing folder to match the paper. The sentiment is from Fiskars clear stamps and the rhinestone square is from Heidi Swapp. I also cut the squares with my Nesties.

Don't forget to go on over and upload your creation using embossing anywhere on your card. You could win a $20 gift certificate to Custom Crops!!

Have an awesome day.

Hugs,
Marcy

Unscripted Saturday

Hi Everyone,

I hope you have some great plans for the holiday weekend. I have to work today to demo Tim Holtz's Alterations dies. I'll be done by about 4:00 and them I am off until Tuesday! Yippee!!

There's a new sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. I followed the sketch pretty closely this week. The swirl is cut from the Tim Holtz Sizzix die named Elegant Flourishes. The sentiment is from Fiskars. The Dp was a freebie from one of my stamp magazines and the bottom is punched with an EK Success border punch. My fav new technique is making flowers from scallop punches. I used pages from an old book to punch the petals for this beauty. The leaves are Primas.

I hope you all have a super weekend and take the time to remember why we celebrate Memorial Day!

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy "Bird Day"

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was so busy with graduations, family dinners and loads of fun. Today the real world starts again and I have to go to work. As they say, all goods things do come to an end. Well, I have some wonderful plans coming up during the summer, so I have nice things to look forward to.

This adorable bird is named Sophie. You can find her here at Alison's store, Stretch N' Bubbles. I printed her out and colored her with copics. I added some stickles for a girlie girl glitzy look. I cut her out with Nestabilities Labels Ten then chalked around the image to add some color. The DP is DCWV. The swirl die cut on the left of Sophie was cut with Tim Holtz Alterations die from Sizzix. I am loving this die and use it often.

I added some embossed ribbon from my stash, some Prima flowers, some flat backed pearls and
poof...done! The card came together very quickly, yet I like it alot! I left off a sentiment because I feel like it can be used for almost any occassion. So I'll wait till I need it before stamping a sentiment.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Marcy

Class of 2010

Hi All,

The past two weeks have been a whirlwind for us. Last week my niece Sami graduated college and yesterday, my son graduated college, too. We've been running around like crazy people!
I always try and make time for my scrapping, though. I made this layout following the new sketch over at Unscripted Sketches.

The title is a great giant embellie from Jolee's. It's all glittered and popped. Sometimes, I just love to grab a premade title or embellishment to make my page quickly.

The border was punched with an EK Success border punch. The brass ring around Sami's face in the middle picture is new from Making Memories.

Here's the sketch. Please take a few moments to go on over to US and check out the beautiful projects the DT created this week. If you have time,

Have a wonderful weekend, eveyone.

Hugs,
Marcy

Miss You

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

Today I made this card using the super cute digi image named Bird Pete. Even though his name is Pete, I think he looks like a she. So, I made her into a girlie girl birdie. You can find this adorable image here at Alison's store, Stretch N' Bubbles.

I printed Pete twice, colored her with copics and popped her stripes for dimension. I added a nice coating of Stickles on her stripes to give her some glitz. A pretty bow and some Prima flowers adds to her feminine side. The kraft scallop was cut with Nesties.

Have a great day.

Thinking of You

Hi All,

Today is Saturday, so of course, there is a wonderful new sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. Please go over and take a look at the other great projects created by the DT.

I used this lovely digi stamp designed by Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. Her name is Sophie and you can find her here in the SNB store. I colored her with copics. It's hard to tell, but the papers are glittered, so it has a nice sparkle. I added some pearls to follow the sketch and a great new Prima flower with the delicious crystals.

I hope you all have a great weekend. We are off to Albany to watch our niece graduate college. We are so proud of all her accomplishments.

Hugs.

Gotta Love the Gnomes!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. My hubster bought me the Flip video recorder. I didn't even know it was on his radar! That is the kind of guy he is. He told me, "Now you can take your blog to the next level." Isn't he the sweetest?? Yup, I adore him!

Of course, you gotta love gnomes; they are just adorable. So, when Alison designed this little guy, I couldn't wait to use him in a project. His name is Mert Gnome and you can find him here in the Stretch and Bubbles store.

I used my new Labels 10 from Nestabilities (which is another MD gift my younger son gave me). The sentiment is from a Fiskars set. I colored Mert with copics and used Diamond Glaze on is had and shoes for shine.

Have a great day!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Unscripted Saturday

Hi All,

It's Saturday, so we have another great sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. This is my nephew. I love him dearly, and although he is quite capable, he doesn't really love to fix things around the house. So we were very excited when we guilted him into hanging some pictures in his new house. I took photos of this because it is a rare sight. He was a good sport while we teased him!

Here is the sketch.

All the headlines were designed and cut with SCAL. The tools are charms from a great embellie special at AC Moore. There were 6 tools in the package for $1.00! I will probably use the rest for Father's Day Cards.

If you have a chance, go on over and check out the great projects the DT created this week.

I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day. Enjoy your family!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Thinking 0f You

Happy Monday All,

I hope you had a great weekend. Today I made a card with a new image from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. His name is Lloyd Bird. I think, by his name, he must be a boy bird but his feathers look like a mini skirt, so I made him a girl bird. LOL You can find Lloyd here."

I used the colors from this week's challenge over at Copics Colour Challenge. I just happen to have these colors, so it makes it a lot easier to join the challenge. I know I can choose colors that are close, but I do love when the colors are chosen for me!

The sentiment is one of Gina K's new seasonal $1.00 stamps. I always buy them as soon as they come into the store! The label is Nestabilities "Fancy Tags" and the flat back pearls are from Queen & Co, also $1.00 at the store! I pieced the green card stock with my handy dandy paper piercer and Stampin Up's Mat pack.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hugs,
Marcy

NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY

Hi Everyone,

I hope your week went well and you have a nice weekend planned. Today is National Scrapbooking Day. My family laughs that I get yet another day that I have free reign to treat myself to scrappy gifts. I LOVE IT!!

It is also Saturday, so that means there is another great sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. This week we are celebrating scrapbooking, so the sketch is perfect for a layout.

This little cutie is my great-nephew Ethan. He is just one year old and loves the Itsy Bitsy Spider. It's just so adorable how his chubby little fingers come together as soon as someone starts to sing the song.

I cut the spider from Paper Doll Dress Up. The paper is from the clearance table at Michaels. It is a pack of 8 sheets at cost me 25 cents!!! I just love a bargain...don't you? Hee hee. I am trying to use up some of my stash, so I found I had just the right letters left on a Thickers sheet to spell his name. I love when that happens.

Here is the sketch:

So, enjoy National Scrapbooking Day! Please stop by US and check out the great projects.

Hugs,
Marcy

PS I also entered this for My Pink Stamper's NSD challenge.
