Fun In The Sun

Hi Everyone,

I haven't made a "Designer Purse Album" in ages, but when I saw this week's colors at Color Throwdown, I knew I had to make a summer album. I used to make these purse albums all the time to sell on Ebay. I sold scrapbook layouts and albums for years, but I got tired of the frantic craziness of the Ebay "life" so I stopped. Now I only create for myself and my family and friends.

Anyhow, as I said, I haven't made one of these beauties in a long time so I made a template that reminds me of a beach bag, cut chipboard pages and dived right into selecting papers and embellishments.

I made this album for my neice in Florida. I do all her scrapping and she appreciates it so much, so I love to create for her. We are going to visit them next week and I will give this to her when I arrive. I put my great nephew, Shane on the cover, but the rest is blank so we can add pics that we take together while we are there.

Disney Album

I made this acrylic album TWICE with a few changes on each. Not that I was present on the weekend getaway, but I am the "Official Family Scrapbooker." So I have the honor of making everyone's scrapbook layouts. I really don't mind. I do feel appreciated.

This one is for my DS & brand new DIL. Later, I'll post the one I made for my dear niece and nephew, who were with my kids on the weekend.

I used a lot of cricut carts.

Flirty Purse Album

I made this album for a swap with my scrappin girlfriends.
Here is mine: The covers are hand cut from chipboard. The binding is machine sewn for strength and durability. Here are some of the pages.

Here is a hidden magnet folder for added journaling or photo space.

I used loads of embellishments like laces, ribbons, buttons, trims and flowers to give it that flirty look. The handles are beads are all glass and sewn to the cover for durability.

I hope the gal who gets it will be happy.

These are the final photos of the photo carousel I made for my neice, Kelly and her beautiful family.

Well, that's it. Now I am working on my son's engagement photos.

Here is a card I made for my nephew's birthday. Keep in mind he is 31!!! But he is Superman to us!
