Copic Colour Challenge #57

Good Tuesday Morning,

I recently found the Copic Colour Challenge blog. This is the first time I have submitted to one of their challenges. I really like the colors for this week. If you don't have the exact colors you can chose similar colors. I happen to have the colors this week.

Here is my layout. Again, my nephew Shane. He is just so adorable! He make me smile just thinking about him. He is like a cave boy -- all fun and wild! I colored these images from Doodle Factory with copics. His name was stamped with an old foam alphabet set from Making Memories.

Have a great day

Celebrate Your Colors

Hi Everyone,

Monday is always a new challenge up over at The Cuttlebug Spot. This week is especially fun because it is a color challenge...our colors! Our blog colors are pink & green; the shades are up to you. FUN! I love a color challenge.
Go on over and check out the great projects my DT sisters have created this week with our colors.

Here is mine:

This image just makes me laugh. She is a free digi available from the uber talented Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. I colored her with copics. The sentiment is computer generated. I cut the flowers from Cuttlebug dies (can't remember their name, sorry). I also used the border embossing folder Just My Type. You can find this image here.

Have a great day.

Marcy

Unscripted Saturday

Hi Everyone,

At Unscripted Sketches, we've started a wonderful new program called Top 3.

Here’s how it works:

*Each week the DT will choose their Top 3 favorites from that week’s submissions. From the Top 3 a winner will be chosen.

*To be considered for Top 3/winner participants need to have their creation uploaded through Mr. Linky by Wednesday by 5pm EST to be eligible for that Saturday’s Top 3.

*Some weeks a prize might be offered by one of our DTs!

*Top 3 and winners will have their work showcased on the blog and quite possibly our Facebook fan page.

Sounds like fun? Great! To be eligible for the Top 3 submit your work by Wednesday, March 31st at 5pm EST. Go on over and check out all the information and see the great creations my DT sisters have made this week!

Here is this week's sketch:

Here is mine:

This is a Magnolia stamp I bought while I was in Florida a few weeks ago. I just love her. I colored her with Copics. All the flowers were white and I used the Copics to color them to match the DP. The flourish was cut with Tim Holtz's new Sizzix die called Elegant Flourishes. I added flat back pearls from Recollections. The background for the image was made with Cuttlebug's Swirl folder.

Have a great day, everyone.

Mojo Challenge

Hi All,

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope it is good for you. I am off today, so it is good for me, hee hee. I made this card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge.

I don't know which company made the adorable image because it was from the Copic class and I didn't notice the manufacturer. I colored this little cutie with copics, of course. I added some stickles on her dress and in the middle of the flowers.

I recently found an old stamp set in my craft room called Stamp-a-Scene. It is by Posh Impressions and made from all rubber, (no wood, just thick rubber). I must have bought it over 10 years ago. Anyway, they are still in perfect condition and it has loads of great nature stamps. Here I used clouds and one of the grasses.

I cut the scallop and circle with Nesties with my Cuttlebug.

Have a great day.

Marcy

Happy Tuesday

Hi All,

Today will be a short post because I have to go to work.

They are having a Dt call over at Tales from Pollycraft. Here is the link if you are interested in trying out, too.

This is Codi Stylin. Isn't she just great?? I colored her with Copics and added her to the card with dimensionals. I added some rhinestones for the bling I know Codi would just love!

Here is a close-up of Codi.

Have a great day everyone!

I'M CERTIFIED!!

Hi All,

I had a really nice day yesterday at the Copic Certification class. I learned some new things about the pens and had a couple of A-hah moments. Like different ways for using the blender ink and even making more sense out of the numbering system. We got to play with the airbrush system, which is pretty cool. The class is mostly product based with some hands-on techniques. I met some lovely people, too. If you get a chance to take this class, I recommend it. I will go into some of the things I learned later in the week bacause today is a long post and I don't want to bore you.

On to DT business. It is Monday, so I have two new card for you. First up is The Cuttlesbug Spot challenge. Nilda asked us to think about...If we had wings...what would we be? I chose a lady bug. Who doesn't love a lady bug? As far back as I can remember, they were the only flying insects that didn't scare me! This cutie was a felt embellie I've had for quite a while. I cannot remember where I got him, though. I used my Nestie to cut the scalloped circle and added a Heidi Swapp rhinestone circle for some bling.

Also up is a new digi stamp design from Alison over at Stretch N' Bubbles. Alison and her daughter are both sick, so she might not post today. If not, please check back during the week. This digi is named Cupcake with Dots. I made a transparency treat bag for this image. I loaded it with jelly beans...my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! hee hee.

I am going to go practice, practice, practice with my Copics now and try to incorporate some of the techniques I learned yesterday.

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Marcy

Unscripted Saturday

Hi Everyone,

Wow, we are having such spectacular weather. Yesterday was in the mid 70's. Of course, I was working all day, but it was nice coming out of the store at 5:00 and still having glorious sunshine on my face! I hope the weekend is nice, too.

I am also really looking forward to Sunday. I am going to an all-day Copic certification class. I am really very excited to take this class. I'll let you know how it goes!!

Today we have a new sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. Keep an eye on the blog, very soon we are going to be picking winners and giving away prizes. Here is this week's sketch:

And here is my card:

I cut this beauty out from the "Forever Young" Cricut cartridge. I really do like this cart, even though, I am far beyond "young" hee hee! The pattern papers are from Die Cut With a View. The sentiment was computer generated. I made the hat pin using a simple corsage pin and some matching purple beads.

Well, that's it for today. Wish me luck for tomorrow!!

Marcy

Thursday to Play

Hi All,

I am off from work today so in between doing laundry, food shopping and various other errands, I get to play with my beauties.

I've been hoping to finish this page for a challenge from Stuck on you Sketches--a very nice blog run by some extremely talented ladies. You should go on over and check out the super Dt and how wonderful their projects are.

Here is the sketch

Here is my layout. This is my Aunt she is 91 years old!! Would you believe it? I hope I've got here genes!

Have an awesome day!

FREE DIGI WEDNESDAY

Hi All,

It's a beautiful Wednesday here in New York...Hooray!! I feels good to go out without getting soaked or shivering. I hope it lasts awhile.

It's Wednesday, so of course that means free digi day over at Stretch N' Bubbles. Today's image is called "The Wings of Love." Go on over and snag this one here.

I designed my card with a vintage feel for this one. I printed the image, colored it with copics and cut it out. I left the wing tips off the card for added depth. The stick pin sentiment was computer generated in circle format and cut out with EK Success circle punches. I added some Primas and...done. I am really happy with this one!

Well, I'm off to work. Have a great day!!

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Monday

Hi Everyone,

Well, it took a while, but I am finally back in the swing of things. Whenever I take even a short vacation, it always seems to take almost as long to get myself back on my daily track. I always feel like I am rushing to catch up with life. But, it's worth it--- especially when I get to spend time with my kids in Florida!

It's Monday, so I have two design team posts. First up is The Cuttlebug Spot. This week the DT will tackle using digital stamps. The stamps were generously given to the DT by this week's sponsor, Lily-Boo's Boutique
I have some experience, since I have been playing with digis for a while now and am a DT member at Stretch N' Bubbles, which is a digi stamp online store/blog. But several of our DT sisters at The Cuttlebug Spot have never used these digital stamps before. They did an awesome job! Go check them out and get inspired.

Here is my card. Isn't that little mouse just adorable?? He is part of collection #19 called Little Mice! I colored the image with Copics and then added Stickles for some glitz. I used the cuttlebug folder "Happy Birthday" -- an oldie but a goodie! I cut the circle and scalloped circle using my Nesties in the cuttlebug, too.

Next is a new digi stamp designed by Alison over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This adorable little guy is named Sid Bird. Cute, huh? I made Sid into a little peep basket. When I first saw him, he reminded me of our favorite holiday treat...Peeps!! We love 'em. I colored him with copics and cut him out. I printed a second image so that I could pop his feet. It's hard to tell on the photos, but his curl on top is covered with flocking for a soft look. The sign sentiment was comouter generated.

I'll see you back Wednesday for another card made from a free digi stamp from Stretch N' Bubbles.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

I'M BACK

Well, I am back from my mini vacation in Florida. I loved being with my family. I miss them so much! But, they do give me great opportunities for scrapping! My camera never leaves my face!!

I missed posting some DT assignments while I was away, so I am going to post some now.

First up is this week's Unscripted Sketches from Saturday.
Here is the sketch

Here is my card. As you can see, I turned it on it's side. That's the beauty of Unscripted...you can use it anyway at all. Kind of like getting 4 sketches in one! The image is a digi colored with copics. The DP is from DCWV "Once Upon A Time." The colors were perfect for my image. The purple solid paper is also from DCWV from the Glitter stack.

Next up is Monday's challenge from The Cuttlebug Spot. This week Nilda asked the DT to GO VINTAGE. This is an altered book I am working on for a class I am teaching. I used the cuttlebug to cut the large tags which is a Sizzix die. These buttons are actually vintage from my Grandmother's collection. She passed 8 years ago at 101 years old! So ya gotta know these are really old!
The dress form on the left page is from Cricut's Forever Young cart. These altered books take alot of time, but I love them when they are finished. they are always such a conversation piece AFTER you explain to people "what this alterd book thing is all about!"

Wow, this was very long for one of my posts! I have more, but I don't want to bore you...so I'll post more tomorrow.

Have a great day, everyone.

Hugs,
Marcy

FREE DIGI WEDNESDAY

Hi Everyone,

It's Wednesday!! That means there is a new free digi up for you to snag over at Stretch N' Bubbles.
This little guy is adorable, don't you think?
Go on over and check out the wonderful cards the Dt made from this cute digi. If you take the freebie, please leave some love for Alison.

I colored him with copics, of course and used lots of stickles for his glittery wings. I used my fav Sizzix embossing folder (Snowballs). The sentiment is computer generated.

Have an awesome day!

Hugs,
Marcy
