Some of us at DYSU were lucky enough to receive wonderful products from My Little Shoebox.  I was so excited when I opened the package and saw all the fabby goodies from their Destination collection.  You really must go over to their site and see all the fantastic patterned papers, stickers, alphas and embellies they have!  It is sure to put a smile on your face!

 

This page is from an album I am making for my children (Florida branch) who ran their first New York Marathon this past November.  We were so proud of them!

 

 



I included photos of the i phone that kept us updated with every mile they completed.  Funny thing is they had a personal goal of finishing the marathon in under 6 hours.  If you can see...they finished in 5 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds!!!!  How awesome is that??

Unscripted Saturday

Hi All,

It's Saturday, so we have another great sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. This is my nephew. I love him dearly, and although he is quite capable, he doesn't really love to fix things around the house. So we were very excited when we guilted him into hanging some pictures in his new house. I took photos of this because it is a rare sight. He was a good sport while we teased him!



Here is the sketch.



All the headlines were designed and cut with SCAL. The tools are charms from a great embellie special at AC Moore. There were 6 tools in the package for $1.00! I will probably use the rest for Father's Day Cards.

NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY

Hi Everyone,

I hope your week went well and you have a nice weekend planned. Today is National Scrapbooking Day. My family laughs that I get yet another day that I have free reign to treat myself to scrappy gifts. I LOVE IT!!

It is also Saturday, so that means there is another great sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. This week we are celebrating scrapbooking, so the sketch is perfect for a layout.

This little cutie is my great-nephew Ethan. He is just one year old and loves the Itsy Bitsy Spider. It's just so adorable how his chubby little fingers come together as soon as someone starts to sing the song.



I cut the spider from Paper Doll Dress Up. The paper is from the clearance table at Michaels. It is a pack of 8 sheets at cost me 25 cents!!! I just love a bargain...don't you? Hee hee. I am trying to use up some of my stash, so I found I had just the right letters left on a Thickers sheet to spell his name. I love when that happens.

My First Unscripted Sketches Challenge

Hi All,

This is my first challenge as a DT member at Unscripted Sketches. It was so easy to create a layout from this sketch. Go click on the link to the left and check out the talented gals on the DT. Then go ahead and create something using this sketch. You can turn it any way and use it for any project.

This is my adorable great nephew again. You can just eat him up!! The pattern paper is about 10 years old, so I don't even know what is is called. I think it came from a pad back in the day when the edges were perforated. LOL But I loved it so I never threw it out and this was the perfect opportunity to use it. In fact, I was amazed that I could find it again.

All the cuts were made with SCAL...The peace sign is from a font called "My 70s Ding" ...love those dingbats. You can find it here

Beautiful Boys

These are my beautiful great nephews. My heart melts when I am with them. Unfortunately, they live in Florida and I live in New York, so in between visits I have to get my fill by scrapping them.

Since I do all the scrapbooking for my neice, at least I get to see new photographs more often than not. Although...sometimes I do have to "shame" her into sending me new photos by saying, "If I don't get the pics...you won't get the pages!" That usually gets her moving to send me the latest photos.

Anyhow, I am also preparing for another Cricut Class I am teaching at AC Moore in September. Many times I get the same students that come back more than once, so I like to have some new layouts to show them. I made this page using only Home Decor. Even the title is from the cart.

Hi All. Here is a scrapbook page I made for my neice, Kelly. These bathing beauties are my Great Nephews Shane & Ethan. Shane is now 2 and Ethan is just 3 months old. These brothers looked exactly alike when they were born. This layout theme speaks for itself...

Here is the card I made for The Cuttlebug Spot challenge #23. We double embossed this week - using one embossing folder and then running it through the Cuttlebug again with a different folder. It flattens out the original pattern, but you can still see it after you run it through again with the second pattern. It is a nice technique and I will try it again with the cool new Sizzix embossing folder sets I bought at work the other day.

Springtime challenge

This week over at The Cuttlebug Spot our challenge is to make anything with a Spring theme.

I am still feverishly working on the wedding photos and all the other photos I took of my family while we were in Florida. These are my beautiful Great Nephews Shane & Ethan. You will see a lot of projects coming up soon featuring these two adorable brothers.

The headline was all cut with Cricut using DS. Carts include Cuttin' Up and Calligraphy. The flowers are Cuttlebug dies.
