Happy Monday

Hi Everyone,

Well, it took a while, but I am finally back in the swing of things. Whenever I take even a short vacation, it always seems to take almost as long to get myself back on my daily track. I always feel like I am rushing to catch up with life. But, it's worth it--- especially when I get to spend time with my kids in Florida!

It's Monday, so I have two design team posts. First up is The Cuttlebug Spot. This week the DT will tackle using digital stamps. The stamps were generously given to the DT by this week's sponsor, Lily-Boo's Boutique
I have some experience, since I have been playing with digis for a while now and am a DT member at Stretch N' Bubbles, which is a digi stamp online store/blog. But several of our DT sisters at The Cuttlebug Spot have never used these digital stamps before. They did an awesome job! Go check them out and get inspired.

Here is my card. Isn't that little mouse just adorable?? He is part of collection #19 called Little Mice! I colored the image with Copics and then added Stickles for some glitz. I used the cuttlebug folder "Happy Birthday" -- an oldie but a goodie! I cut the circle and scalloped circle using my Nesties in the cuttlebug, too.

Next is a new digi stamp designed by Alison over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This adorable little guy is named Sid Bird. Cute, huh? I made Sid into a little peep basket. When I first saw him, he reminded me of our favorite holiday treat...Peeps!! We love 'em. I colored him with copics and cut him out. I printed a second image so that I could pop his feet. It's hard to tell on the photos, but his curl on top is covered with flocking for a soft look. The sign sentiment was comouter generated.

I'll see you back Wednesday for another card made from a free digi stamp from Stretch N' Bubbles.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

Back to Reality

Hi All,

Well, the party's over...literally. Back to work after 1 1/2 weeks off. Boo. I loved waking up at 11:00 every morning and crafting until late, late at night. That's my favorite time to scrap and stamp. But, at least I can say I do love my job. I just would rather stay home and get paid...now that's a job! Let me know if anyone knows of any job opening that fits my desires!! LOL!!

OK back to DT business...
Today I have two design team creations.
At The Cuttlebug Spot we are back after a two week rest with some Happy New Year's creations.

I made this card using a free dingbat. Isn't she just hysterical with the lamp shade on her head? The embossed background was done with my favorite Sizzix folder Snowball. I used copics to color her in and added the skittles for added texture. Go on over and see what my DT sisters over at The Cuttlebug Spot made for you this week.

Second is my debut with the new design team at Stretch N" Bubbles. SNB is a digi stamp site created by Alison. She is a super talented gal who designs some wonderful digital images. I love working with digi images; they are so easy to use and can be sized to fit any space you need.

This adorable angel is named Raggedy Flake. I colored her with copics and added stickles to make her wings sparkle. When I glued her down, I left the wings unglued so I could curl them up off the card. The background was cut using SCAL,embossed with Cuttlebug's D'vine Swirl folder then popped off the card. I computer generated the sentiment.

Go check out Stretch N' Bubbles and see all the adorable cards my DT sisters have created with this cutie.
Don't forget, Alison always has Free Digi Wednesdays where you can download the weekly free image and play with it. You will see how easy it is to work with digi images.

I also used this card for a challenge blog I just found named Crazy for Challenges.

DON'T FORGET, I AM STILL CELEBRATING SATURDAY'S BLOG HOP AT UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES. SEE THE POST BELOW TO CHECK OUT THE "CANDY" I AM GIVING AWAY TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS. JUST LEAVE A COMMENT UNDER SATURDAY'S POST AND YOU ARE ENTERED IN THE DRAWING.

Hugs,
Marcy

My Kids Wedding Album Continued...AND...Blog Hop

Hi All,

We are having a blog hop over at The Cuttlebug Spot today. Our challenge is to take any of the techniques we've used so far and use it in our project. So....in continuing with my kid's wedding album, I used the "embossed sanding" technique for one of my pages. Of course, my black paper had a white core, or else I wouldn't be able to sand the color off.
Scroll down a few posts to see the cover and first pages.

Your next stop on the Blog Hop is over at Amyee's. Her work is outstanding, as are all the DT sisters. Amyee's projects are always so fresh. Have fun over there and continue on till you end up back at The Cuttlebug Spot.

Thanks for stopping by. Leave a little love if you have the chance. I do really appreciate your comments.

Cuttlebug Challenge #5

Over at The Cuttlebug Spot blog http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ this week's challenge is called "Dot to Dot" using the swiss dot folder. I can't remember who's stamp this is, but the image just cracks me up.

I used the Magic Colored Pencil Technique to color the image. The Scor-Pal makes it so easy create definition.

This week I am working on samples for a Holiday Cardmaking class in November. I'll post them when I am through.

Have a great day!

I'm Baaaack

I just got back from our family cruise. I am exhaused!! I need a vacation from my vacation. It was a lot of fun. Although we were disappointed with the ship (Crown Princess), we did have a great time just being together. Later this week, after I get myself organized at work and at home, I will post some photos of the vacation.

Here is a card I made for Challenge #4 over at The Cuttlebug Spot. http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ . This week we are challenged to use two embossing folders in one project. I used Swirls and Swiss Dots. The stamp is from My Sentiments Exactly. The siwrls were embossed on Die Cuts With a View glitter card stock...it embossed beautifully!

Challenge #3

Well, we've waited a long time for tomorrow. We are going to Florida for our "Annual Family Cruise." Each year, our family gets together and takes a cruise out of Florida. It is truly the best quality time we have together...out on the ocean, no work, no place to go, no cell phones, no appointments...just us...and the casino, of course. I just love it!!

Here is my version of "Jazz it Up" the third challenge at the new blog dedicated to the cuttlebug...The Cuttlebug Spot . http://www.thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ Check it out on Monday when Nilda uploads the challenge. Why not try this technique for yourself and upload your design.

Iused the swirls folder to emboss onto the black cardstock. Then I lightly rubbed white chalk over the raised swirls. I sprayed the cardstock with workable fixative. That keeps the chalk from rubbing off. Of course, you could always use clear acrylic sealer or hair spray.

See ya when we get back!
