Goodbye

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

Well, today is bittersweet for me.  This will be my last post as a design team member at Priscillastyles.  I had a great time with the DT gals and Priscilla is a very talented woman.  Not only does she design wonderful digital stamps, but she owns and directs CDAC, which is huge!

My card is for today's sketch challenge at MMSC.  Here are your choices of sketches

I used the plain sketch to showcase this great masculine digi stamp called Vintage Auto.
I computer generated the sentiment.  Everything else on the card was in my stash.

A big goodbye to my pals over at Priscillastyles.  I will still be visiting and joining the challenges!

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Anniversary

Hi Everyone,

Happy Tuesday to you all.  Wowzer the weather here in NY has been crazy!  On Sunday, we had over 11 inches of rain here on Long Island.  Even Monday was so ugly out and still raining.  Today should be
 nicer...I hope.

There is a new sketch challenge up at MMSC today. I used Priscillastyles image Man with Flowers. I used lots of yummy velvet ribbon and rich, textured  fabric to give my card a romantic feel.  Of course, the roses add to the whole love theme.
This image is colored with copics.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Here are the sketch choices:

I hope you go over and check out the challenge at MMSC.  You can win a great prize, too if you enter a project.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

You give me Wings

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

There's a new sketch up at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  I used the beautiful Butterfly digi  from
Priscillastyles.  It comes in a set of 3.

I printed the butterfly onto a transparency.  I let it dry overnight, but it was still a little wet and smudged.  So I lightly hit it with my embossing gun and it dried right away.  I used copics on the back side of the transparancy to assure the markers wouldn't smudge the ink. I put a few Stardust Stickles on the body for some nice sparkle!

I dyed the seam binding ribbon to match the purple and the flowers are a mix of WOC and Primas.  The background cloud paper is from MME, Lime Twist Collection.

Here are you choice of sketches

I hope you go over tro MMSC and check out the DT's projects!

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

MMSC Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!  Summer is really here and I love it!

Today we have a new sketch challenge up at MMSC.    I used Priscilla's beautiful image of Grapes
I colored it with copics.  I used a lot of inking and distressing for that vintage look that I like so much.  The swirls are from Sizzix.

Here are the sketches you can choose from.  I used the simple sketch.

I hope you take the time to go over and check out all the beautiful projects the DT created this week.

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day.  We surely enjoyed.

There is a new challenge up at MMSC.  I used one of Priscillastyles' newest images named  Vintage Auto.  Whenever I see one of these old jalopies, I always think of yellow.  I'm not sure why, but I do.
Since it was for a man, I didn't use many embellishments; only some brads in each corner.  To give it a little more texture, I pierced the pattern paper.  I colored the image with copics.

Here are your choices of sketches for this week.

I cut the image out with my Nestabilities die, Labels 10.

Go on over and check out the DT creations

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Birthday

Hey Eveyone,

Today for my MMSC submission, I used Priscilla's Sunflower digi image.  I have used this image many times before since I love it and it's so versatile.

The diamond fold card tutorial  is from Splitcoast Stampers here.  I colored the image with copics.

Here are the sketches for the challenge.  As always, feel free to use either one.  Check out the DT's projects here.

Have a wonderful day!

These Colors Don't Run

 Hi Everyone,

Today there is a new challenge up at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC).  I made my easel card using Prisicilla's Top Hat from her 4th of July set. I paper pieced the hat and added loads of glitter and stickles for sparkle.

I must admit, I didn't follow the sketch too closely this week.  I had this card in my mind from the moment I saw the new digi, so I kind of went off the map.

Here are the two sketches you can choose from.

Check out the design team's fabulous cards here.  Then upload yours and you can win some great prizes.

Have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by.
Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a super Mom's Day.  I sure did.  I was surrounded by my family
with good food and laughs.  I can't ask for more than that!

There is a new challenge up at MMSC .  I used this lovely Royal Wedding
inspired crown image by Priscilla.  Isn't it wonderful?  I used the King's Crown for a Father's Day card
for my nephew.  Gregory has always proclaimed himself KING.
I am not sure why, but we always went along with it and now give him
King themed cards and gifts.  He will love this.

I printed the image twice - once in the lavendar
 cardstock and once on white.
I have loads and loads of rhinestones in my stash, so it was
easy to find ones that fit the image.
The crown was colored with copics. I used the Fleurde Lisa embossing
folder from Cuttlebug for the background paper.

Here are the sketches for you to follow.  As always, you can choose plain or fancy. I went with plain because I was creating a masculine card.
Please go over and check out the DT creations.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Marcy

I Adore You

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

Today we have a new challenge up at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC).  It is a wonderful sketch that would be great for a Valentine's Day card or layout.  There are two sketch choices...you can go fancy or plain.  As you can see, I went with fancy!  In fact, I think I went a little overboard with the embellies, but Valentine's Day does that to me!  LOL  I hope you go over and check out my DT sisters and the gorgous projects they created.

This wonderful image is named "Man with Flowers" and was created by Priscilla at Priscillastyles.  It can be found here in her store. I colored my gentleman's suit and shoes with copic C grays.  I gave his shoes a nice thick coating Diamond Glaze so they look nice and shiny.  It's hard to see in the pic, but I colored his ring with Spica gold.

We are expecting snow again tonight. YUCK!!!  I hope it is light.  My kids are supossed to go back home to Florida today and I would hate for them to be delayed and sitting in an airport...that is the quickest way to ruin a great vacation!

Stay warm.
Hugs,
Marcy

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge

The new year brings with it some new artistic challenges for me. This is my first post as a member of Priscillastyles new design team. I am excited! This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge which is presented on Priscilla's blog. It is a weekly challenge blog with loads of uber talented designers and great prizes. I hope you can find the time to check it out!

The beautiful digi image is named Angel Nights and can be found here in Priscillastyles store. I colored her with copics. Then added loads of stickles to her wings for some real glitz. I used Prima flowers and Say It With Pearls Swirls.

There are two choices of sketches you may follow. Here they are. As you can see, I chose to use the "fancy" sketch.

Hugs,
Marcy
