Unscripted Sketches Saturday

Wow, the week sure went fast. It's Saturday already!! You know that means -- there is a new sketch up at Unscripted Sketches It is a really wonderful, versatile sketch that can be used for almost anything. Here is my version. Again, I used one of my new Doodle Factory stamps...I love them! I colored them in with my Copics. I added some Glossy Accents to her emblem, cut her out and popped her onto the DF city background stamp. The sentiment is computer generated.

Bad Weather Day

Hi All,

I am off from work on Thursdays. It's the day I do a lot of my errands, but today was such a miserable day, I didn't even go out. It's raining and the chill is the kind that goes right down into your bones. So, I played instead.

I made this card for the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday I used one of my new stamp sets from Doodle Factory (I love 'em) and colored the squirrel with copics. I cut the scallop with SCAL and the circle using Plantin. I always cut circles with the Cricut...no matter what, I cannot get a good smooth cut with scissors and since I can get virtually any size I need cut, I always use my Cricut.

Our challenge for the week is to show the inside of our cards. The image is a dingbat, so I made it large on the cover and much smaller on the inside of the card. I used the MCPT to color the images. The oval scallop cuts are from Nestabilities.

Humorous Art

Hi All,

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot, Nilda asked us to make a funny card to show our humorous side. This card is me to a T!! When I am ready for a nap...WATCH OUT! DO NOT GET BETWEEN ME AND MY BED!! I call it my power naptime.

TPE Challenge

Anyway, now that I got that off my chest. Here is a card I made for a challenge over at The Pink Elephant. The image is actually a dingbat. I used the Magic Colored Pencil Technique for coloring.

Cottage Cutz

Nilda, our leader at The Cuttlebug Spot, sent me this adorable die of the watering can from Cottage Cutz. I made this card with the die. Of course, it works perfectly with the Cuttlebug.

I used The Magic Colored Pencil Technique to color the images which are various Gina K stamps.

Color Challenge

Today was a color challange at The Cuttlebug Spot. We had to design something brown and blue or brown and orange. As you can see I went with the blue. The pattern paper is from DCWV Pet stack.

I used the Magic Colored Pencil Technique with the odorless mineral spirits to color my image.

I used a Sizzix embossing folder called Lines & Circles. I like these Sizzix folders, they are slightly larger than Cuttlebug folders, so you get extra paper coverage. But they run perfectly through the Cuttlebug machine. Of course, use the same sandwich...A plate, B plate, Folder, B plate.

Cuttlebug Challenge

This week our challenge was to make a card and emboss anything but paper. This card is made with vellum. I never embossed vellum before and it works great. You can really get some fine detail when you emboss with vellum.

"B" Series

Hi everyone. I've been so busy preparing for my son's wedding. I haven't really had enough time left over to devote to creating for my own delight. But I do look forward to the small amount of time I allot myself for creating my Cuttlebug Spot challenges.

Here is my submission for The "B" Series...B as in BLING!

This is a stamping technique called bleaching. You stamp the image twice the cut out the image you are going to bleach. Then using a Clorox Bleach Pen, simple color on the image and the paper color will turn white. Use a pop dot to raise the image. That's it.

I used stickles and crystal rhinestones for the BLING.

Holiday Card Class

I am teaching a Holiday Card Making class at AC Moore in Carle Place on November 25th. Here are a few samples of the cards we will be making.

I used the Magic Colored Pencil Technique to color in the image and of course, the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder.

Using JOTS, here is a Hanukkah card.
