TAWS Be Inspired Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a great July 4th holiday. Today is a new Be INspired challege at TAWS. 

 Aren't these little matchbook notepads adorable? I love 'em.

I used the new set Fa-La-La to decorate these.

• Okay.. now the fun part.. here it is.. We want you to look at the photo and BE Inspired.. 
• Colors- red, green, blues, pinks, teals, lime, (1 or all)
• snow, outside, snowflakes, words, candy canes, trees, stocking, scarfs, holly, bows
• take anything you like from any of the fun photos 
•  Whatever inspires you when you look at this photo.. Go with it.. use it, and BE Inspired!! :) I can't wait to see what you come up with.. (let us know how you were inspired)

I made this little favor gift  using TAWS sets Reel Time and Priceless Joy.

These little bottles are from AC Moore in their party favor aisle.  And how cute are these duckie candies?

Christmas in July

I know it's July, but it's never too early to start making your Christmas cards and gifties.

This adorable snowman is from the newest set at TAWS.  Aptly names, Fa-La-La, I think you will love the images and sentiments in this set.

I paper pieced the snowman's hat.  And colored him with Copics.

Day 3 Peek TAWS

Hi All,

We are on day 3 of peeks at The Alley Way Stamps.  

  Continuing, with my "anything but a card" theme,  I made a picture frame.  This cute little frame is from

AC Moore and cost only $1.00. 

 This beautiful flamingo is from the set, Tropic Topic. I colored the flamingo with copics. From a second image, I coated the wing with Stardust Stickles and then  popped it with dimensional foam dots. The leaves, also from Tropic Topic, got a good thick coat of  Glossy Accents.  I love the new set Alphabet Soup, which I used for Florida and 2012.  Not only is Alison's font just adorable, it is so versatile. I forsee using this on many future projects. 

The adorable subjects in my photo are my Daughter-in-Love and my Great Nephew.

I used the new set, Tropic Topic to make this adorable little shadow box.

Wait until you see this set...it is just the cutest ever!

 

I sponge-painted the box.  The frame had the perfectly sized flat area for me to stamp the word monkey.

After coloring and cutting the money out I attached it to the back wall using a piece of straw and glue dots!

 I recently came back from a fabulous cruise vacation and can't get the sun and sea off my mind.  Luckily, two of the stamp sets that Alison, at TAWS, released this month are are fun, ocean themed images and sentiments.  This one is from Sea Mates.

This cards has to be one of my favorites of all time.  We had a square porthole on the ship, but this is what my mind's eye sees when I think of portholes.

Using Nesties, I cut out the porthole.  Then I colored some pearls in grey to look like those screws around the porthole.  I have some really cute sea themed charms in my stash, so I used the shell.  The sentiment is also from Sea Mates.



The card bottom flips down before you can lift the front flap.

Ocean of Love

Happy Tuesday!

I just love this jelly fish.  He is so happy and goofy looking, right?  He is in the set, Castaways, from TAWS. 

I colored him with copics and then put on a light coat of Stickles Diamond so he can match the background paper.

This double-z fold card is very easy to make and is very dramatic in person.  Here is a great tutorial with

all the measurements.

The sentiment is from the same set, Castaways.

Movie Night

Hi All,

First, I want to welcome all the new Design Team girls to The Alley Way Stamps.  I know you will enrich our group with your incredible talents!

I used the newly released set, Reel Time , to make this cute microwave popcorn package wrapper. 

It really is so easy to make these covers.  Just wrap your paper/cardstock around the popcorn package. 

Use a nice strong adhesive tape to attach the ends. Take the popcorn out then  punch a hole in the center top of  both front and back of the wrapper.

Run ribbon from the front hole through to the back hole. Slide the popcorn package back into the wrapper. The package bottom looks like this. 



To remove the popcorn, just grab the two ribbon stands and pull...the package will rise up.

Turtley Awesome!

Hi All,

I am loving the new set from TAWS named Sea Mates.  This set has so many adorable images with punny sentiments that just make you smile.

I colored Ms. Turtle with copics and added some Stardust Stickles on her shell for some girly glitz.

Hi Everyone,

Well, this is a bittersweet post for me today.  This is my last post as a DT member at DYSU. 

I have been with the team since Alison started it in December 2010 and have loved every minute of it. 

Unfortunately, in order to be an active, responsible DT member, takes much more time than I am able to devote right now.  What with working, preparing for our first grandchild, crafting, scrapping for my whole extended family and struggling with a SLOW computer, I just don't feel as if I can keep up with my responsibilities to the team. 

My DT sisters (current and past) at DYSU have been so supportive, fun and inspiring.  I will not say goodbye to these great gals, as I will still join in on the challenges and visit their awesome blogs.

I will still remain on the DT at The Alley Way Stamps.

Now, onto today's challenge...

I used this adorable digi named Birdie's Birdhouse from Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps.
