FREE DIGI WEDNESDAY

Hi Everyone,

It's Wednesday, so that means there is an adorable free digi image waiting for you over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This week is also our sketch challenge #4 at the SNB Challenge Blog.

Kitty Cat is the freebie and here's how I used him.

I printed Kitty onto cardstock and cut him onto the "Nestie-Like" label background using a fabulous free SVG from Penny Duncan. You must check out her site!! If you own a cricut or other cutting machine you will be awed at her creativity and generosity.

I colored Kitty with copics and added some Prima embellies, which have just come into the store...needless to say, I am very excited since I get a nice discount working at ACM. Kitty's buddy, the birdie in the cage, is cut from Song Bird.

So, for some fun and creativity...go on over and snag Kitty, then create a card or layout and enter it in the SNB challenge. THERE ARE COOL PRIZES, TOO!!

Gotta go to work now. Have a great day.

Marcy

Beijing Bee

Good Tuesday Morning!

This beautiful image is named Beijing Bee. Isn't he just so peaceful and elegant? I love him. I created this gift bag to hold a small pearl necklace I made for a friend. The bag is from a tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers. You can find it here. I've made many of these gift bags, they are just so perfect for a small gift or gift card.

The digi image is from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. You can find him here in the store along with other gorgeous Asian images.

I printed him out onto this beautiful DP from The Far East stack from DCWV. I colored him with copics and then added subtle, beautiful glitter with that wonderful clear stardust Gelly Roll pen from Sakura. This pen is great to quickly add glitter to any project.

I cut the flowers from one of the coordinating papers and attached it with foam tape to pop. I used raffia as the bow because I felt it needed a natural element rather than a ribbon.

Have a great day and remember tomorrow will be another freebie digi image from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles.

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Marcy

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

Happy Monday Everyone,

Today at The Cuttlebug Spot , Nilda asked us to create something using flowers in any way. Well, I've had this stamp set for years and haven't used it since...well, I don't know since when...so I thought I'd give it a go. It is actually 3 separate stamps: the vase, flowers and raffia bow. Of course, you have to do some making to get it just right without the obvious overlapping images.

I used the cuttlebug to cut the scalloped circle with Nestabilities and the tag is cut from an original Sizzlet "Oval Tag." The sentiment is one of Gina K's $1 stamps. I colored the image with copics.

Have a wonderful day. Thanks so much for stopping by. Please go check out the great projects my DT sistas have designed this week.

Hugs.

Weird Bird

Happy Wednesday All,

We are having another sketch challenge over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This is a wonderfully easy sketch to use. I can see it making a great scrapbook page, too. The image is a freebie called Weird Bird by Alison at SNB.

Again this demonstrates how versatile digital images are. When you go to download the image here, you will see that the bird has the weird hair and is facing left. I copied the image into Microsoft Digital Image software twice. I turned one image around to face the other way and erased her hair. Now I had two birds, the same, but with differences...much like us! LOL

I colored these girls with copics and added some stickles for a little glitz and glam. The flat back pearls were white, but I colored them with copic YR18 to match the punched border from EK Success.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Marcy

RESISTENCE IS FUTILE

Hi All,

Can you tell the name of my favorite TV show? I bet you can!

At The Cuttlebug Spot, Nilda asked us to design something that celebrates our favorite show or movie. Well, mine takes care of both. Yup, my DH and I are Trekkie's. Well not uniform wearing, Klingon speaking or phaser carrying fanatics, but we do love the show, especially The Next Generation and forward. Not that I would kick Kirk out of bed, but Picard definitely has something special!

The images of the Captains and their #1s are actually a font. Isn't that amazing? I printed them out and colored them with copics. I embossed with Cuttlebug's Stars and D'vine Swirl folders. The background paper and spaceship are from a really old stack named Space Out from Provocraft. I must have it for 4 or 5 years.

This is a really fun challenge, so go on over at see what the other DT gals have designed to show you their FAVS.

Have a great day.

Marcy

Unscripted Saturday

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday. Over at Unscripted Sketches we have another great sketch challenge to inspire you.

The digi image is named Dotty Bird from Stretch N' Bubbles and can be found here. This card demonstrates perfectly why digital stamps are so, so versatile. Dotty is a single image. I opened the image in Microsoft Digital Imaging software. I copied and pasted it 3 more times. at varied sizes, for the "little peeps" following their Mama. Then I colored them with copics. The sentiment was computer generated. The flower embellie on the side cost me $1 at Michaels.

Have a great weekend.

Homeward Found

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday,

I made this as a "new home" card for my son and daughter-in-love. The image is called Birdhouse With Worm and it was designed by Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. You can find the image here in her store.

I colored the image with copics then added some Stickles for a little glitz. The scallops were cut with my Nesties and the sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you have a great day.

Hugs,
Marcy

You Make Me Smile!

Hi and Happy Wednesday,

Today is our second sketch challenge over at the Stretch N' Bubbles challenge blog. Also, because it is Wednesday, Alison is giving away this adorable image named Andrew Alligator (although I prefer to think of him has a crocodile!! Hee hee) here.

Below is the sketch. I turned it on its side and it was perfect for the image. I colored this adorable guy with copics and popped him off the card with dimensionals. The papers are from an old stack from Cricut. The sentiment was computer generated.

I didn't forget that in celebrating our first sketch challenge last week, we had a blog hop. I want to thank everyone that stopped by and left such lovely comments. It always means so much to get feedback from your fellow crafters.

And the winner of the Sea Turtle image I used on my card is..........#9...itsabrt said,
"I love your card Marcy! Have a fantastic day! Beth"
CONGRATS BETH. SEND ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND ALISON WILL SEND YOU THE SEA TURTLE IMAGE.

AND DON'T FORGET, EVERYONE, TO CHECK BACK AT THE CHALLENGE BLOG TO SEE IF YOU WON THE BIG WEEKLY PRIZE FROM ALISON.

Bling Monday

Happy Monday All,

The Cuttlebug Spot
has gone bling crazy this week. Nilda asked us to create using glitter, glitz or bling. I love rhinestones, so it was easy for me.

I made this for my Niece's college graduation. The stamp is from Inkadinkado called Personal Expressions. It looks like 3 separate circles, but it is one stamp. I love the round patterened circles. I stamped it three times, on different colors, then cut it out around each of the obvious borders. I popped each circle up on top of the one underneath with dimensionals. The rhinestone circles are from Heidi Swapp. I used my fav Sizzix embossing folder Snowballs and a Martha Stewart Border punch.

There is a blog hop going on, too. So go on over to The Cuttlebug Spot and check it all out.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Marcy

Surf's Up, Dude!

Hi All,

Today is Saturday, so of course, that means a new sketch is up over at Unscripted Sketches. This adorable little surfer dude is available from Stretch N'Bubbles here. He is one of Alison's Little Imps. They are all so cute. I colored him with copics. The DP is from last year's Mambi.

Here is the sketch:

I also submitted this for the challenge over at Copic Colour Challenge

Go on over to US and check out the beautiful creations my DT sisters made for you this week!

Have a great weekend.

Stretch N' Bubbles BLOG HOP

Hi Everyone,

Today is a special Wednesday over at Stretch N' Bubbles...We are having our first Sketch Challenge Blog Hop. If you came here from Jane's blog then you are in the right place. If you stumbled upon the hop by accident, please go over to the SNB blog and start there. Be sure to leave comments on all the DTs posts along the way to be eligible for some great prizes!

Stretch N' Bubbles is also excited to announce their new Weekly Sketch Challenge. Each week there will be a new sketch designed by Alison for you to play along with. You can use ANY SNB image (if you don't have any, you can pick up a new freebie every Wednesday). You can combine that image and the SNB sketch with any other challenge of your choice. Just post your entry to the SNB Sketch Challenge Blog and you're in the running for a weekly top three award. A random winner will be chosen each week as well and that person will win any SNB image of their choice!!

Here is the Sketch:

As you can see, I took some liberty with the sketch, but it looks pretty close, I think. I printed the image of Sea Turtle (you can find him here) using Microsoft Digital Image program -- very easy -- just copy, paste and line them up the way you want. I printed it twice so I would have the additional turtle to cut out and pop up as the "special" one. I colored all these cuties with copics and added some stickles to the special one. The sentiment was computer generated.

Be sure to leave a comment on this post. I will choose a winner on April 14 and that person will win the adorable Sea Turtle image I used on my card. Leave comments on the other DT's blogs, and you have a chance to win their images, too. Once you make it through the whole hop you will be in the running for the whole blog hop winner which means you get to select any 4 images of your choice from SNB.

Your next stop on the hop is Katheryn. After you've visited all the DTs blogs, and left comments, we'd love for you to play along with our first ever sketch challenge.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

LIPPY

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful holiday and that the Easter Bunny was good to you and your family.

I made this card using an adorable digi image named Lippy. You can find her at the Stretch N' Bubbles store here. Isn't she just too, too cute?

I colored Lippy with copics and added some Diamond Glaze to make her lips full and shiny! Hee Hee. I sponged some Studio G ink around the edges of the image and the sentiment which was computer generated. A few Primas, rhinestones and brads and she's done!

Don't forget to come back Wednesday for Stretch N' Bubbles first Blog Hop.

Hug,
Marcy

TREASURE HUNT!!

Hi Everyone,

Today is a special Unscripted Sketches post...it is our one year blog-iversary!!
To celebrate we are having a treasure hunt! Find the treasure and you can win a prize...fun!
Go on over to the US blog and check out all the news.

This week's sketch was great. It was really easy to work with.

This layout features my nephew, Shane. He wasn't feeling well one day while I was visiting in Florida. I found him fast asleep on the bathroom floor by the shower door. He fell asleep while waiting for his Mom to come out of the shower stall! We were all hysterical.
I cut the title with Cuttin' Up and then used a white pen to give it some doodle interest.
I used Animal Kingdom for the alligator, which was practically made to match his PJs! I outlined the gator with a Pigma Micron pen and chalked it up for some shading. I cut the leaf using SCAL.

Have a great weekend.

Hugs,
Marcy
