Beautiful Boys

These are my beautiful great nephews. My heart melts when I am with them. Unfortunately, they live in Florida and I live in New York, so in between visits I have to get my fill by scrapping them.

Since I do all the scrapbooking for my neice, at least I get to see new photographs more often than not. Although...sometimes I do have to "shame" her into sending me new photos by saying, "If I don't get the pics...you won't get the pages!" That usually gets her moving to send me the latest photos.

Anyhow, I am also preparing for another Cricut Class I am teaching at AC Moore in September. Many times I get the same students that come back more than once, so I like to have some new layouts to show them. I made this page using only Home Decor. Even the title is from the cart.

Have a great day,
Marcy

Back to school

Over at the Cuttlebug Spot we are making projects that are school related.

This is my adorable great-nephew, Shane. He just started his second year of Pre-school. He is 2 1/2 years old and absolutely adorable.
I used Locker Talk for for the title and all the other cuts, too. Shane's name was cut with Cuttin' Up. Then I ran them through the cuttlebug (one of the new folders, but don't know the name) for a little added dimension.

I'm working on more layouts today, so I hope to post more tomorrow.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES

I AM SO EXCITED. I have been invited to become a design team member at Unscripted Sketches http://unscriptedsketches.com/ . It is a wonderfully talented group of gals from all walks of life who celebrate the joy of creativity. Some are passionate scrapbookers, some prefer card making--but all are wonderful paper crafters!

Each Saturday there is a new sketch posted. You are inspired to use the sketch any way you choose; for any type of project. You can Flip it, Rotate it…create a card or a scrapbook page with the sketch. There is no right or wrong way, as long as you are using the Unscripted Sketch as the basis for your creation.

I really look forward to getting to know my design team sisters. I've listed their blogs on the left, so when you get a chance take a look at their work. Each is so different from the last. I guarantee you will be inspired!

Over at The Cuttlebug Spot, we were challenged to create a project using the word HOT somewhere on it. I made this card for my 26 year old nephew who is HOT. We tease him all the time because he is a babe magnet...and knows it. So the card has a special meaning for us.

I used Martha's Drippy Goo punch again for the melting ices. I added loads of Glossy Accents to make the ices look all shiny. The ice pop came from Doodlecharms. I added some chalk to give the popsicle sticks some dimension.

Go on over and check out the other designs...very cool! Hee Hee

Baptism Card

I made this card for a friend of mine who's beautiful little girl was baptized today.
The butterfly card base was cut from a dingbat that I opened up into SCAL. (I just cannot get over how much I love those free dingbats.) I used the cuttlebug to give the butterfly a little more texture and then added Stickles for some glitz. I popped the cross and added some satin ribbon. I really like how it came out and my friend made a special call to tell me how much she loved the card. I was delighted she appreciated it.
Have a great night and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hugs,

Marcy

I found another one of Martha's Drippy Goo border punches and had to buy it. I felt compelled. Like a hidden force...can't explain it.

You're Invited

This week over at The Cuttlebug Spot, we are designing invitations. I made this one for my neice to give out to her son's pre-school class for his Halloween party. Kelly will fill it with some wrapped candy when she gives out the invites.

I cut the shopping bag with TBBM. Again, I used Martha's Drippy Goo punch. (I love that punch!) The spider web is from PDDU. The little ghost is from those Dress Up button packages.

Go on over and check out the other invites...you'll get some great ideas from those talented gals.

More Drippy Goo!

I really see so many different ways to use this punch.
I reminds me of water dripping, so I used it on this quick layout of my nephews in the bath. They are so cute, you just want to squeeze them!!
The photo does not really do this layout justice. You can't see that I used Glossy Accents on the title. It makes it look all shiny... like tiles. I used New Arrival for the title and embellies. I used loads of stickles on the ducks and bubbles. I also used a Fiskars border punch (but I can't remember the name of it, hee hee).
Tomorrow I will post the latest Cuttlebug Spot challenge.
Have a great night,
Marcy

Halloween...so soon?

Well, since I bought the drippy goo punch, I had to use it. Also, I needed to create a project using Amyee's (Thanks GF for the great inspiration!) sketch for the challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot.

So... I made a couple of Halloween cards. One used the punch, the other not.
I used dingbats for both card images. Gotta love the free dingbats!!!!

To color the images I used the Magic colored Pencil Technique. I also used one of the new Cuttlebug folders, but I am not sure what the name of it is.
Here's Amyee's sketch
Here's mine.

Here I used the drippy goo punch. The spider web is from PPDU.

New Cuttlebug Folders

Hi Guys,

Have you seen all the new Cuttlebug folders? I bought mine when HSN had their scrapbooking day a couple of weeks ago. I love 'em.

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot, Nilda wanted us to use one of the new designs in our project. I decided to use the owl. Honestly, the owl is the only folder I didn't like. So I challenged myself to use it for just that reason. I actually like how it turned out. So now...maybe I don't dislike it so much. hee hee.
I cut the letters with SCAL and stickled them for some glitz.
