GO GATORS

Happy Saturday,

My "daughter-in-love" is a huge University of Florida Gator fan. Really huge! I don't get the whole football thing...but she does -- and I lover her -- so I made her this card gift set. I designed the box using this week's sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches.

The Image is from Meljins called Fall Ball Teddy Bear. I colored this adorable guy with copics using the Gators colors of blue and orange. I computer generated the "Go Gators." This is a great example of how versatile digital images are. I printed the image in two sizes for this project. You can't do that with rubber!!

Because of all the layers, the card weighs over 1 ounce, so I included 2nd ounce stamps to make it easier for her to mail out.
Here is the sketch. If you have time, go on over and create something using this sketch. It's a very easy one to work with.
Have a great weekend!!
Hugs,
Marcy

AHOY MATEY

Avast Me Hearties,

Isn't this the cutest little pirate you ever did see?? She is available from Stretch N Bubbles here in the shop.

The paper and stickers are from Karen Foster. I colored her with copics. I put a coat of Glossy Accents on her boots for some shine and Sakura clear stardust Gelly Roll on her sword handle. I drew in a deck for her to stand on...very easy to do. I love the netting I had in my stash from an old Luau party I had a few years ago. I know one day I would use it again! Added some rhinestones and...done!

I made this an easel card so she would really stand up.
Yo Ho, my friends,

BEWARE

Hi All,

How cute is this puppy? I just love him!

For my inspiration, I used this week's sketch from Card Patterns # 87. It is such a great, simple sketch that can be used for anything...cards, layouts, bags, etc.
The image is from a Halloween set from Inkadinkado named Cat & Friends. I colored him with copics. I gave his cute little nose, pumpkin and hat a thick layer of Diamond Glaze for some shine. The paper is from one of my fav stacks from Cloud 9 named Harvest Holiday. The sticker is from Rusty Pickle that I had in my stash. I also added a cute pumpkin charm onto the binder clip, also from my stash. I used the Sizzix embossing folder named Lines & Circles for the yellow background.

I designed the card to go along with the following challenges:
Fab & Funky - Things that go bump in the night
The Cuttlebug Spot - Welcome Fall

Have a great day!

Hugs,

Marcy

I Miss You

Happy Saturday Everyone,

It's Saturday, so we have another new sketch up over at Unscripted Sketches. This one would be great for a scrapbook layout, too. I made my card using this adorable image named "Once There was a Snowman" from Stretch N' Bubbles. He looks sad compared to the usual happy snowmen you see. So I typed "I miss you" on the image before I printed it.

I colored this cute guy with copics. I am not sure what I was thinking with the white highlights on his scarf. It looks yucky in the photo once I see it so big on my screen. But, what can ya do? Too late now...next time I will do that better! Well, at least I will try.

Here is the sketch

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Hugs,
Marcy

Thank You

Hi All,

I am so loving this card I made for Card Patterns sketch # 86. The pattern made a perfect backdrop for my digi image "Cone Flowers." I cannot remember where I got the image. Most times when you downoad a freebie, the artist does not include their name in the tag title. I try to stay on top of that before I save the image, but sometimes it gets away from me and I forget. Well this is one of those times that I would like to credit the artist, but can't.

This is the first image I've colored since I took Suzanne's classes last week. I've been so busy at work, I haven't had time to sit and think about all that I have learned. But in coloring this image, I felt like much of what Suzanne said was falling into place. Anyway...I had a wonderful time in the classes and learned so much useful information.

The image is colored for the CMC Copic Colored Challenge Group the challenge this time is "Sheer"

Have a great day everyone.

Hugs,
Marcy

Unscripted Sketches Blog Hop

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Today is a very special day over at Unscripted Sketches...we are having a Breast Cancer Awareness Month Blog Hop. If you are arriving here from Gardenia's blog you are in the right place. If you happened here without the hop, please go to Steph's blog to begin your journey. We have lots of surprises and goodies along the way, so don't miss anyone!

This gorgeous image is named Busty Betty and she was designed by our Guest Designer and hop sponsor, Anita of Anita Be Stampin . Anita is generously offering our prize at the end of the hop for one random winner that submits a project at Unscripted Sketches this week.

I colored her with copics. It's hard to tell in the pic, but I stickled her ribbon and shoes for some glitz. I made the flower out of an old magazine then added some rhinestones. The sentiment is computer generated.

Here is the sketch

Now here's the candy...I am offering these six adorable Studio G Halloween Stamps to one lucky commenter. The only caveat is that you must be a follower. If you are already a follower --thank you so much --I really appreciate you! If you are not a follower, just become one. When you leave a comment please leave me a way to contact you. On Monday night, I will pick a winner with random.org.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Your next stop on the hop is Suzanne. Don't forget there is candy along the way, so please finish the hop.
Have a wonderful day and remember to...Get a mammogram!

Cute as a Button

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are all having a great week. Isn't this Teddy adorable? I love him! You can find Teddy here in the store at Stretch 'N Bubbles.

I designed my card using the new sketch up at Critter Sketch Challenge. I colored him with copics. I inked around the edges of the image and distressed all the paper edges. Not having the right color buttons, I colored pink ones with my YR18 and...presto...I have the exact color buttons I wanted! Don't you love that?? The labels are old Sizzlets dies and the sentiment is from Fiskars.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Marcy

Hi Everyone,

Happy Saturday! Today I get to take copic classes all day with Suzanne Dean. I can't wait! It is quite an indulgence to be able to sit and craft all day...but I deserve it! Hee Hee.

I created this birthday card for several challenges this week. The layout is for Unscripted Sketches.

Stamptacular Sunday - Pile it on - at least 5 layers

"Tonight is Halloween"

Hi Everyone,
I hope your week is going well. I am so looking forward to Saturday when I get to take Copic classes with Suzanne Dean. If you don't know her work, check her out here...her talent will knock your socks off!! I can't wait to learn her secrets of making those markers dance!!
This image is a freebie from Pollycraft. Isn't she adorable but creepy? She reminds me of Tuesday on The Addams' Family. I colored her with copics then added stickles on the pumpkins' stems. I put a nice coat of Glossy Accents on the pumpkins' eyes and Tuesday's bat ribbons. I popped her off the inked background.
I've created her to submit to the following challenges:
i copic - orange, purple & black
Pollycraft - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar - Autumn colors
See ya Saturday for Unscripted Sketches.
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Marcy

Memories Live Forever

Hi Everyone,

Here is another card I made using McGill's New Paper Blossom punch system. This Lily is made with the same punches used to make the Poinsettia in the post below this one. It really is quite unique. They are easy to make, but kind of costly because you have to buy at least 3 punches for each type of flower. So, just be sure you like the finished flowers before you make your decision to purchase.

The top paper is embossed with Sizzix Snowballs embossing folder. The sentiment is from Fiskars. The flat back pearls, lace and ribbon were from my stash.

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Marcy

World Card Making Day

That's right...you know today is World Card Making Day and all the blogs and websites in cyberspace are celebrating! And so are we at Unscripted Sketches. I must say my DT sisters really outdid themselves this week. Go check them out! You won't be disappointed!
The poinsettia was made with this great new paper punch system called Paper Blossoms made by McGill. In fact, I am demoing it today at work. This is actually a lily, but it can be made into a tulip, poinsettia, calla lily and other flowers. Check out their website at http://www.mcgillinc.com/. I will take some photos of my samples and upload them on Monday.
The 3-d dots on the scallops were made with Polymark Dimensional Paint.
Gotta go off to work now. Happy WCMD...go make something!!

Hugs,
Marcy
