HAPPY MONDAY

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Today is Monday, so I have 2 projects for you. One is from The Cuttlebug Spot the other from Stretch N' Bubbles.

Nilda asked us to help celebrate St. Patrick's Day and create anything green. Easy enough!
I designed the clover cut on SCAL using 3 hearts. I just positioned and welded them together. Then I embossed it with the Cuttlebug folder Celtic Knot. I colored the adorable bear in with copics (I can't remember where I snagged this digi).I made two copies of the image and cut out the clover. I stickled the second one and popped it off the card for added dimension. I hope you will go on over and check out all my DT sisters here and see their fabulous designs.

Next is a new digi stamp from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles. This cute image is named Tweet Tree. I colored the image with copics, of course. I popped the birdie and stickled her as well as the flower centers on the tree. I embossed the background with with the Sizzix Dots & Vine embossing folder.

Have a great day.

Marcy

Happy Saturday

Hi All,

Well, the snow FINALLY stopped sometime during the night. We had all kinds of great plans for today with friends, but they were canceled due to the snow. I hope this was the last one for the year...of course, I always hope it is the last snow of the year!

Today is Saturday and we have a new challenge up for you over at Unscripted Sketches
The DT has some awesome creations for you this week so please go over and check them out.

Here is the sketch

And my design. This is my adorable great nephew Ethan. He is the sweetest baby EVER! The title is made with American Craft chpboard letters. The adorable cupcake is a digi from Stretch N' Bubbles. I think Alison still has it posted on the blog for free, so go on over and snag it here

Here is a close up of the digi stamp. Colored with copics, of course. I added some stickles for a glittery shine.

Have a great day everyone.

Hugs,
Marcy

Masculine Monday

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday to you. Today, I have two projects to show you. You know, for design teams, we create weeks in advance. So I didn't realize that the two designs I am posting today are both for the boys/men in our lives. That's pretty rare, since we are always searchng for a good "guy" image.

First up is The Cuttlebug Spot challenge. This week we are doing double embossing. Nilda has a great tutorial up on the blog to see how this is done. Go check it out here.
I used Sizzix Snow Balls folder and Nesties Classic Circles. The image is from Doodle Factory colored with copics. I created the sentiment with Microsoft Word. I added some gold Stickles and zig-zagged around the card edges for some added interest.

I also submitted this super guy on a challenge blog I just found (Thanks to Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles) named Rosie-D's Challenge Blog. I submitted it as well to La-La Land blog.

Next up is a new digi stamp being showcased over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This is Steve Go Green. Isn't he adorable? I colored him with Copics, cut him out and popped him off the card. I designed and cut the peace signs in SCAL. The words under Steve are beads I found ages ago at the $1.00 store. The pack has loads of different words and I just knew one day I would use them. I do that alot...buy stuff I just know I will use...and never do! HAHA This time I won! Go on over and check out the adorable cards my DT sisters made with Steve.

I hope you all have a super week.

Hugs,

Marcy

Unscripted Sketches Saturday

Hi Everyone,

The new sketch is up over at Unscripted Sketches. This week is a really wonderfully easy, yet statement-making sketch. It's all in your focal point! Instead of using a digi image as my focal point, I decided to use this flower I made. The sentiment is from a Fiskars clear stamp set. The leaves were cut with SCAL. I just love the softness of the colors.

Here is the Sketch. As you can see, I flipped the sketch over and used it that way. That is the beauty of these "Unscripted" sketches...they give you a great starting point.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Marcy

FREEBIE DIGI

Hi Everyone,

Well another day of snow and we've gotten through it. I really, really hope we are done with the snow for the year.

Today is Wednesday, so of course, that means Alison is giving away another great digital stamp for free over at Stretch N" Bubbles. This cutie is named Toothy Tina. Isn't she an adorable little monster??? Go on over and snag Tina. Don't forget to leave Alison a little love in her love thank!

I colored her with copics and popped her off the card. The sentiment is computer generated.

Have a great day.

Altered Frame & Birthday Digi

Happy Monday
to you all. I've got two projects to share with you today.
First up is the challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot to create an altered frame. I made this with two 8" x 10" canvases. I painted them then hinged them together. I covered the left side with an old favorite from Basic Grey. I left the right side open as the frame/shadow box. I used old photos of our family and added some fun "knick knacks" for decoration. I used the Cuttlebug folder "Morrocan Screen" then adhered the cardstock to the frame for added texture.

The cover type was cut from various cartridges.

Here is a close-up of the frame.

Also up today is a new digi stamp designed by Alison over at Stretch N' Bubbles. This stamp is appropriately titled "Cake and Candles." I colored the image with Copics and used a gold glitter Spica pen for the candles. I added glitter on top of the cake (which is hard to see in the pic) for some glitz. A couple of Prima flowers, some rhinestones and a pretty bow finish up the card.

Have a great day everyone!!

Hugs,

Marcy

Monday Challenges

Hi Everyone,

Monday is always a happy crafting day for me. I am off from work and get to play most of the day (except for the routine errands.) It is also the day I post 2 weekly projects.

First up is The Cuttlebug Spot challenge. Everyone knows how hot the Taget $1.00 mailboxes are now. So Nilda asked us all to use one for this week's challenge. I made mine using an image from Stretch N' Bubbles. Alison gave this adorable digi away for free a while back. I colored it with my copics and embossed it with Sizzix "Snowball" folder. I added a little stickles for shine. The SWAK image is one of Gina K's clear acrylic stamps...also for $1.00!! This was a very economical project. I am going to fill it with candy and send it to my kids in Florida.

Next up, a new wonderful image from Alison at Stretch N' Bubbles -- Kee Kee --isn't she just gorgeous. I made the bag from a tutorial at SCS here
I colored her with copics and then inked around the edges for a soft look. I just love her!

We missed the last snow storm over the weekend, but now "they" are saying we could get 12" - 18" tomorrow night. YUCK!!!

Have a great day.

Hugs,

Marcy

Unscripted Sketches Saturday

Hi All,

WOW WE WERE LUCKY!! We were bracing for a huge storm here on Long Island, as well as, the rest of the Northeast. But when we woke up this morning...NO SNOW!!! OMG we were so happy -- nothing, not even a flake.
My friend called from Staten Island, and she had about 4" already. Boy, I absolutely hate snow. I am grateful it missed us.

Anyway...today is Saturday, so it is Unscripted time. Here is this week's sketch.

And here is my take on the sketch.
I love this picture of my kids. My oldest always makes this crazy face in my photos to annoy me. This time, I used it!! HAHA on him!

Go on over and check out the beautiful designs my DT sisters have come up with this week. It's sure to get your mojo going!

Stay warm.

Hugs,

Marcy

FREE DIGI WEDNESDAY

Hi All,

Today is Wednesday, so of course that means it's Free Digi Day over at Stretch N' Bubbles. Go over and snag this image here.

When I saw this image, my very first thought was...you know...HEE HEE...back in the day. And the song, "Go Ask Alice" started playing in my head. So, once that happens, that it! I had to make it as I saw it! LOL

I used copics to color in the image. I also colored the pearls with the copics to match...I love that handy trick. I cut the flourishes with SCAL and sentiment was computer generated and cut with my nesties.

Oh, go on over and join Alison and the Stetch N' Bubbles team at The Paper Craft Planet. When we reach 50 followers, Alison has an adorable free digi for ya. Go check it out here.

Hugs,

Marcy

Happy Monday

Hi All,

Happy Monday to you. It's the begining of the work week. Sometimes yuck...sometimes yeah...depends upon the week and what awaits me at the store when I arrive. Most are great; I hope this is one. I hope it's a good one for you, too!

Also Monday is the day Alison debuts a new digi stamp over at Stretch 'N Bubbles. This week is the funniest little guy named Pete Bird. Isn't he hysterical in his boxer shorts.

I colored Pete with my Copics. He is so fiesty looking in his boxer shorts, so I created a sassy sentiment in MS word. I am going to give this one to my DH for Valenetine's Day, too. It's more like me than the lovey, dovey ones. I know he will laugh. I used nesties, chalk and Fiskars Rain Dots for the hearts.
Go on over and check out my DT sisters and see the adorable cards they made with Pete.

Hugs,
Marcy
